Default So new I don't even know what to do!!

Hey ladies!!! I am a really new newbie. I am just starting to look into dancing. I would love some advice. I am a little bit on the heavier side (5'6" 160lbs) and not only do I have a lot of stretch marks from my son but I also have very short hair. I am wondering if I have a chance in hell of getting a job dancing at a club in the Denver Metro Area or if I should just not even bother. Anything would be great!

I have just recently begun working out and am trying to lose the extra 30 lbs but could really use a job now. Also, I don't really know how to dance. I pretty much have ZERO experience. Any chance I will get in?

Definately do your research on here. There are a billion threads on what to do to get yourself stripper-ready. I would suggest a corset for the stretch marks. If you go to your local "stripper store" they should be there is different styles and they can help fit you. A corset that just covered your mid-section and a beautiful bra/ bikini top seems to work well with girls that have this problem (and trust me, many do). Clip-in extensions are a life saver when it comes to a short haircut. You can buy them at Sally Beauty if you don't have a beauty supply/wig shop nearby. I'd say keep working out, if anything just for your health. Just remember there are strippers of all shapes, sizes, colors, backgrounds, it's crazy diverse so you should be fine. Good Luck

Tonight was my third night danceing, I honestly have one pole trick down and I fall half the time. My first night I broke a pair of heels and threw up in the bathroom in the middle of my set. My second night I got on stage with confidence and seriously just twirled around and bounced my butt! I made four hundred dollars, a hundred of which I earned by just talking to a guy. Tonight I made 180 and it was almost dead maybe three customers speratically in a nine hour shift. And that's in a tiny town in kansas. So don't worry about anything just have the confidence and good people skills and you will make bank.

You definitely came to the right place!

Getting hired is one obstacle, another is being able to MAKE money once you are in the door (which is getting harder to do in this economy)

Focus on one goal at a time. It sounds like getting hired and what to expect is your first concern. I've written several articles on how to become a stripper
You can also download my free ebook How to Become a Stripper: Everything they Won't Tell You The video that goes along with this book is on my YouTube Channel

    Hope this helps!

I'm from CO & have danced at a number of clubs here. There are a few other CO dancers here as well.

I have good news & bad news. The good news is there are a lot of clubs in Denver, & you probably can get hired. The bad news is that you'll need to tone up a lot before working the top clubs here. What area of town are you in? I may be able to suggest a club depending on your location. Try Centerfolds & PT's Showclub first, they are the nicer of the dive clubs. After that try Players Club & Saturdays. Finally there is Saturday Night Live & a number of similar clubs. Bus Stop in Boulder may also be an option. Colorado is ranked the skinniest state in the country so girls have more problems getting hired than most other places... including Vegas at times.

I have a number of blogs on my website that will probably be helpful to you. There is one on weight loss, but be sure to check with your doctor first & have a blood panel done to make sure everything is in balance. I also have a blog on places to buy stripper clothes.

If you need immediate help my telephone number is on Google maps for Denver Stripper. You can text. I'll be up in Denver today.

Also, do check out www.StripAndGrowRich.com its a life saver in this economy when you are up against seasoned veterans!

Ty so much for posting this! I'm getting back into dancing post baby, after about a year, and I'm glad I read a bunch of stuff I forgot or didn't even know! Very very helpful.

Like Kylea said, you can probably find somewhere to get hired, but it may just not be in the best club. This can be a good way to ease yourself into dancing, get comfortable with the job, tone up and work on your hustle/looks, and then work your way up to a better club. Good luck and welcome around!

Does it help to have connections with other strippers to get in the door?? I know I won't get into a high end club (although I would like to) and am trying my hardest to lose weight but I had a baby and it's hella hard to lose it! I am located in south-east Aurora. I will check out your blog. Thank you so much!

Having connections can actually help you a lot. If you have a friend who lets the manager know you want to audition your chances of getting hired are higher if the manager believes your friend is a responsible & reliable worker. However, that also means that you are putting your friend's name at risk if you screw something up (drinking too much, showing up late, calling in all the time). If you know you are a good worker then by all means use any connections you have to get hired. If not, then just go in & audition on your own.

For southeast Aurora I would say to try Centerfold's first! Once you've toned up try Penthouse or Shotgun's.
