    Angry Laws regarding online slander

Hey i was wondering if anyone knows anything about the laws (if there are any) which govern slandering a person online? I have had somoone hack into my Adultwork profile and leave awful feeback for an escort booking. I have never met or even spoken to this guy but i have managed to find out his phone nuber and address and i want to know what my next move is. I have spoken to a lady who saw him on a booking and she said he was creepy and she felt nervous the whole time she was there, also when you google her number and email it is linked to these horrible website saying she does bareback and other awful things! My point is that she feels like its a personal vendetta and maybe this freak has it in for escorts by destroying their business, anyone have any advice, thanks xx

First, contact & inform the webmaster of Adultwork. Second, send a "cease & desist letter". Third, find a lawyer just in case. Micheal Fattorosi (sp?) is a good adult industry lawyer, he goes by PornLaw on most sites.... including here on SW.

    Thanks Kylea !

@Miss Cleo -- What proof do you have? How do you know it was him though ? You would need to have access to the server logs to be able to see the IP address of the person that hacked your account and posted the comments and then and match it to his IP address...

Could it be someone pretending to be the guy in question ?

Thanks for your replies, i am still awaiting word from the webmster at Adultwork and i guess the evidence i have is that he posted it under his username which is 'Greg46'. I have checked through all my email correspondence and my lst of blocked people and i have no record of ever having dealt with him.
