Lightbulb Online Wish List for Clients

Iv done a search on this because Im sure that this has been brought up before but couldnt find anything...

How do I create a wish list online where clients can have things sent to me without them finding out my address and real name?

What website would this be possible on? Amazon?Overstock.com?Walmart.com?

I would go with the big ones; ebay and amazon.

If you're looking for clothing, Victorias secret is nice, and men usually enjoy buying things from there.

Amazon. Pm and I'll show you my wish list - you can see that you can poke around but can't see my real name. Just my city.

I did two things for this. First, I have a page on my website for private clients where I've listed things I like encase they want to bring me something. I also have a link to my Amazon wishlist. Amazon will share your address with the third party merchants who ship items to you, but not with the person making the purchase, which it says on their website:

"Items purchased directly from this Wish List by friends and family can be shipped to the address you indicate below.
This address is confidential and will not be seen by anyone purchasing a gift for you."

I don't really know how other girls do it, but with mine I just have my name listed as Kylea. I did that because I have proof of identification with that name, & if I miss the package I wanted to know that I'd be able to pick it up from the post office without a lot of fuss.

Ohhh, so I just discovered something else that is fun about Amazon wish lists! Apparently if are on your wish list, & click an item that's on it, a message will pop up saying the item "may have been purchased" & ask if you want to know for sure. If you say yes the message box will expand. So far I've found it only pops up if the item has been purchased though. I was just looking at my list last night & discovered it. Here's what popped up:

By the way, just in case whomever bought this for me happens to be on SW or SCJ... Thank You!!!

Amazon won't share your address with the purchaser but many of the third party vendors will. This was a big problem on Niteflirt because callers were obtaining the operators real name and address by contacting the vendor.

If you only choose items sold by Amazon, you're fine but those third party vendor items can become a problem.

^^^ Have you had that happen or know someone who has had it happen? I'm not super concerned personally since all of my info is my stage info.

Sure enough! They sneak in the verbiage. It wasn't there during the initial sign-up.

    Third-party item shipping
At Amazon.com, third-party sellers (i.e., sellers other than Amazon) offer many items. If you instruct Amazon to share your Wish List shipping address with these third-party sellers, then customers can purchase items for you off your Wish Lists that are sold by these sellers and have them automatically sent to your confidential Wish List shipping address.

If you choose to enable this feature, you acknowledge that Amazon will provide the seller of your item with your Wish List shipping address, and the seller may disclose this address to the buyer (for example, when sending the buyer a purchase confirmation). Further, because an item may often be purchased from more than one seller, the sellers offering the item at the time of purchase may be different than the sellers offering the item when you placed the item on your Wish List.

If you decide not to enable this feature, customers purchasing items for you that are sold by sellers other than Amazon will be required to enter your shipping address.
(CHECK BOX) Yes, let Amazon.com share my wish list shipping address with third-party merchants to ship purchases from this wish list.

You could either un-check the box, use a different address where you can collect mail (PO Box or friend's home), or use a mail forwarding service if you want to enable the third party shipping.
