Default Spending money on a boob job a good idea?

    Hi

ive been dancing for almost 3 years now. Ive had a lot of money in my possession. With moving apartments, a short term drug habit, getting my apartment broken into, being in a relationship where he money was stolen.... i didnt think it could happen to me but ive been a stripper that hasnt saved much more than 10k.

ive always worked and hustled, but with 2k expenses here and there and losing a lot of money....

i have 10 k at this point (apx). I want a house, to pay it off in full someday.

For some reason though i keep going into this thought process of really wanting a boob job.

Idk if i feel like i need to stand out and be really great and ive been in a thought process where ive been thinking that a boob job might be a good idea.

The reason i want the boob job now instead of later is an important reason also. Right now would be the best time for the boob job because i have about 2 weeks off from work. i also am getting a good deal right now. (some other reasons too)

financially though, maybe not the best time.

i know this problem seems simple on paper (in text) but whenever i make up my mind one way i get thinking maybe the other way can work out, i can just get my head straight and really save up-- after the boob job.

I also know on the other hand that it is easier to build off of the 10 k instead of starting close to zero.

    idk what do you think?

Well, first off it depends who you are seeing to do your surgery. I'm also not sure about your cash flow so it's hard to make an assumption. I do however, believe it's best to save rather than stress out if/when other expenses come up after the BA payment.

That said, the typical cost of a BA is $4k-$8k (?). Do you have a savings account or thought of one? Perhaps you could take a portion of the money you have now and save up for the BA from there.

I was interested in your post cause I'm thinking about getting a BA soon too. However, for now I put aside 20%-30% of my earnings each night that goes towards a "boob fund". Also, just a thought but you may want to do this for emergencies... like set aside 10% of your earnings to a savings account. You could also look into investing in a mutual fund, stocks, etc. I'm slowly starting this process myself since stripper money isn't exactly consistent. Hope this helps!~

If I were in your position I would save more. I go with the Murphy's law - "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong". So you might want to save more so that if anything should happen you still have a bit of a nest egg.

There are ways of making or improving your look that doesnt cost a BA. Having 2 weeks off is great (depending what type of job you do) if you're stripping 2 weeks isnt enough time to have off. But also having a good deal is good too. But it seems that you arent emotoinally ready for a boob-job, nor financially and you said it yourself.

How long have you been thinking of a BA? If you truely want to go with this idea, then you should, 10k is plently for a BA and resting. But count your expenses, your bills, rent, food etc how much will you need? Would you be able to live off that certain amount while resting and getting back onto your feet without feeling emotionally stressed?

Overall, based on your post, I think you should think about it more, and save up. BA's can be done whenever, and you can always as the Docs paitant co-od for special discounts at anytime (with full cash, telling them you have a similar amount in mind but lower etc). BA;s arent just money but they also stay with you phyiscallly and emotionally whether you like them or not. Save up and work, then reconsult yourself.

I also vote for waiting and keep saving. As someone who recently got a boob job, I def dont regret my decision but I was pondering it for almost a year before I did it. You dont want to rush into any decision that costs $10k and later regret it. Also 2 weeks is definitely not enough time off after a boob job. Ideally you should be waiting at least 6 weeks.

Ok I am going to say something to the contrary here.

so you have 10 k saved up. You currently have 2 weeks off. 2 weeks probably isn't enough time to do consults and book surgery. You don't just want to go with anyone... get a board certified surgeon. Do your research.

10 k should be enough if you watch your money wisely and live frugally while in recovery. Say you spend $5k on the surgery. That means you have $5k left to cover you for say like 6 weeks afterward while you recover. Pay your rent upfront/early and budget the rest for groceries, bills and other necessities. Don't be wasting your money on going out to clubs/movies/shopping.

Spend at least 4-6 weeks recovering before going back to work. Some people manage to do it within 2 weeks, but really you want to protect your health and protect your investment.
