Angry my area is not a great market

I live and dance in Louisiana. a "good" night at our club is 300. The club sets itself up for failure by advertising to be a cool hangout spot after work, and an exotic club without exotic prices. The management has hired more dancers than we need, probably to make up for the cheap ass customers. (Each dancer pays 40 to the house). The radio ad I heard yesterday said something about having a good time without spending a lot. Needless to say, I was pissed when I heard it. I'm taking my clothes off for money, and they are treating this place like a regular club. They didn't even mention dancers during the ad. There's only two other clubs here, one is trashy beyond belief, and the other is extremely cuthroat and a lot of our dancers came from that club, I just started dancing a month ago, and I'm not sure I'm ready to jump into that environment yet. My problem is, I read stories on here about men just paying to talk to dancers and whatnot. Literally almost everyone who goes in there thinks since they are there to party, so are the dancers. I actually had one guy, dead serious, ask me if I go there often. Yes, he knew I was a dancer. The most I've ever gotten paid to just sit was 4 dollars... wtf? He put it down on the table and said "that oughta keep you around awhile"... I stayed for about 20 seconds and said "ok it was nice talking to you but I need to go make REAL money". The club is a lot of regulars, meaning a lot of guys who everyday come down to get a free show. I read a thread on here about charging men to take you on dates. That wouldn't fly here, these fuckers don't even have enough money to buy dances, let alone be charged to take me out. What the heck do I do? On a Friday night, last night, I came home with 82 dollars after tip out. Does anyone have experience/advice for working/making money is a cheap club? Also, this is not a dirty club or a dive bar. They actually consider this club the classiest in my town. While the club itself might be upscale, the clientel obviously is not.

So I've decided after my rant, and after talking to a dancer who just quit for the same reasons I stated above, I'm taking my ass to deja vu and making some better money. Thanks for listening to me bitch about my shitty club!

First of all, you've only been dancing a month - so you can't expect miracles "overnight". I say this to pretty much every new dancer who comes on here: "You are competing with professional veteran strippers & some less experienced by cut throat dancers during a recession... be prepared!" It takes the majority of dancers a good five years before they really learn how to hustle, & some never learn or can still learn more, so you are still very much in the learning stage.

Is $300 a "good night" for you or a "good night" for other girls in your club? Do you have any idea of what the difference is between what you average & what the other dancers average?
What does your club offer & what are the prices? Champagne room? Topless/nude private dances? Table dances? Finally, can you up-sell, i.e. charge a higher rate than the standard rate?
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

300 is a good night for other girls.the most money I've brought home was 280, and I lucked out and had some young guy who won a little something at the casino crushing on me. The most money I've ever seen made there was just this last Saturday, a girl made 500 after being in vip all night with a regular. There is no upselling here. Tonight is actually half price everything, and dances are ten dollars. Its all pay up front, so if I charged 20 dollars (regular price) tonight, id have to do 2 dances. The clientel at this club is exactly what I said to begin with, a bunk of bored rednecks with no money. The only time there is decent money to be made in the club is when u can get an out of towner. For the past 2 weeks, we've had more dancers than customers until around 12 at night. And then the "crowd" clears out around 1. Its topless stage dances, and fully clothed lap dances, and the do have a champagne room, though I've only seen 1 sold the entire time I've worked there. And I work 5 days a week. The club is also starting to fine over a bunch of stupid shit, again, this is because its so fucking slow there, even the club isn't making money off of custies. So they have to constatly fine dancers to make up for the lack of business. One girl got fined $60 dollars and when she asked managment what for, the manager said it was "misconduct". And wouldn't elaborate. If there are good cities/clubs to work in in northern LA, id sure like to know about it. No to mention they have been hiring a bunch of skanky bitches who make out with custies, let the custies grope them, etc. I actually had a guy try to stick his tongue in my mouth and when I pushed away, he said "why not? She let me earlier" poiting at a new girl. Those type of girls make it harder for the clean dancers.

I'm going to join the ranks of saying you should probably change clubs. Its hard to get money to add up these dayd.. but especially on $10 dances. If you could upsell its one thing, but if a girl spent her entire evening in VIP to walk out with only $500... that is REALLY bad if you aren't exaggerating.

How far are you from a major city?

You tried somewhere new right ? Yeah , you've got to ! I'm not sure if you like popping into different places, but I enjoy doing that . I have a couple clubs I work reguarly ( like twice a month each ) and a couple more that I pop into here and there. I really like a "get in , get out " hustle and if you are in one place seeing the same same same same same faces again and again it makes it a little harder. Once I feel like I'm "getting to know" everyone, I noticed a money decline in my records. Just something to think of. You might even want to add a 2nd place to your schedule and see if you like doing that. I still do have my regulars, but I just can't stand the same places week after week..

Well we start dancing on stage around 9, and close at 2. She went into vip after her first set, probably 9:20 and. Left vip at last call. And let me calrify, vip is not a cr in our club. Its just an area, in the regular seating section that has couches, and a coffee table. The waitresses, managment, even dancers sometimes have friends who come in and they will let them sit in vip, and they might not even spend a dollar. Its more like a popularity thing than a $$ situation. One girl I know has been working there 8 months, and she just hit her 350 mark. At this club, girls generally have one "good" night, and make shit everyother night. Its just a matter of who can score the only paying custie. Most girls during the week, includng me, bring home about 120 a night. Let me add, I'm not a bad stripper, yes I don't know all the tricks ans whatnot, but my hustle is no less than any of the other girls. They lose dancers often, because it does suck so bad there. Last Friday we lost 3 dancers in one night. They hire anything that moves, because they just want that 40 dollars per head each night. The management gets pissy if u don't work at least 4 nights a week, to the point if u work under 4 nights, u don't get a locker. Ugh... I'm sick of it. Its def time to move on for me...

Sigh, so it's not like you really even have a set amount or can negotiate your own amount to spend time in this area with customers?!

Like I said in the last post, try to go work a bigger city. I'm not sure who's idea this is to have only $10 fully clothed dances available & nothing else, but that is insane!

shreveport is northern LA. heard good things about the money there.

i worked at a small club in a military base an hr or so outside of shreveport. there was money there when i was there for almost no contact... but i think their season is over.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

First, if those girls at KO's would stop giving lap dances as table dances I would think a miracle had occurred ... they are selling themselves short! I don't even offer the table dances. If the customer asks I straight out tell them that I give real table dances so I'm not getting in their lap/touching them/ or taking off anything for $5.

Second, at least the $10 dances are topless no contact... you know there are advantages to that. LOL "Hey, you touched me... if you don't hand over $10/$20 I'm going to call the bouncer over!"

Plus, there's the "Bubble room" for $60/$80... I forget.

BTW, that sign in the back is not right. I finally found the Albuquerque laws. I am exercising my independent contractor rights.
