I live and dance in Louisiana. a "good" night at our club is 300. The club sets itself up for failure by advertising to be a cool hangout spot after work, and an exotic club without exotic prices. The management has hired more dancers than we need, probably to make up for the cheap ass customers. (Each dancer pays 40 to the house). The radio ad I heard yesterday said something about having a good time without spending a lot. Needless to say, I was pissed when I heard it. I'm taking my clothes off for money, and they are treating this place like a regular club. They didn't even mention dancers during the ad. There's only two other clubs here, one is trashy beyond belief, and the other is extremely cuthroat and a lot of our dancers came from that club, I just started dancing a month ago, and I'm not sure I'm ready to jump into that environment yet. My problem is, I read stories on here about men just paying to talk to dancers and whatnot. Literally almost everyone who goes in there thinks since they are there to party, so are the dancers. I actually had one guy, dead serious, ask me if I go there often. Yes, he knew I was a dancer. The most I've ever gotten paid to just sit was 4 dollars... wtf? He put it down on the table and said "that oughta keep you around awhile"... I stayed for about 20 seconds and said "ok it was nice talking to you but I need to go make REAL money". The club is a lot of regulars, meaning a lot of guys who everyday come down to get a free show. I read a thread on here about charging men to take you on dates. That wouldn't fly here, these fuckers don't even have enough money to buy dances, let alone be charged to take me out. What the heck do I do? On a Friday night, last night, I came home with 82 dollars after tip out. Does anyone have experience/advice for working/making money is a cheap club? Also, this is not a dirty club or a dive bar. They actually consider this club the classiest in my town. While the club itself might be upscale, the clientel obviously is not.

... they are selling themselves short! I don't even offer the table dances. If the customer asks I straight out tell them that I give real table dances so I'm not getting in their lap/touching them/ or taking off anything for $5.
