Default Where to start in New Mexico?

Hello! I'm new- haven't started dancing yet but I have my mind made up to do it! I live just outside ABQ to the east, but close enough to commute. What would a good place to start be? Right now if I'm honest with myself I'm too fat to go to a top tier club but I want to work somewhere as Im getting in shape and learning the ropes. (36-30-39 are my measurements, and the hip one is the one im really working on to get smaller, going to the gym at least 3x a week and a very low carb diet) Thoughts?? There is a dive out in my area that is pretty chill but Ive been there a few times and it always seems dead..... Thanks for any advice!

LOL did you go to 203?
KNockouts is downtown. TD's gold and north are in the heights. North is high end... for NM anyways. If you go to knockouts, smack that little pockmarked skank with the two toned hair for me! Tell her "that's for Tempest!!!!"

Gold club has a variety....north is more selective (or so they claim) and all you have to do is walk into KO's and ask who is my favorite two toned skank, they will point you in the right direction.

Jackie is the shit. Do your job, pay your house and you'll be fine.

That sounds good - Thank you for the info! Haha it's kindof a small scence here it seems like so I'm glad to find somebody who knows! If you dont mind my asking how was buisness at the places youve worked here? Was it pretty brisk or not so good in general? Does a 'season' apply here?

Sundays have been going downhill for a long time at KO's. Once in awhile they'll be good, esp if there is a convention/concert downtown. Fri and Saturdays are popping. It's busier in the summer with all the tourists and all that jazz.

Watch out for Ralph. He is a mainstay at Knockouts. He always whips out his penis in the VIP room and during the summer he wears golf shorts and tries to hike them up.

Tempest, I can't help but think how mad I would be if I took at trip down there & protesters showed up. Ugh, that would be like a whole night of work just gone...

Go either friday day or sat day cause Art doesn't have hiring power....if you go when jackie is working make sure you are dressed nicely hair and makeup done! She has a very discerning eye but I love her!

Discerning is good... What would you suggest as far as an outfit? I have zero stripper-wear so Im in the market anyway. I need to do a hair and makeup search on here too im pretty competent but makeup to dance in may be different than what id do if i were just going out... same w/ hair.

Can you make it to stomps and threads on san mateo? if not I suggest fallas paredes on Zuni. they have all kinds of cheap stuff in the lingerie but its very hit or miss. you'll either find a cute bra and panty set for 5.00 or you will find stuff in vomit green and shit brown.

Also I recommend the burlington on san mateo and montgomery...its pissing distance from stomps and their lingerie is cheap as hell.

God, you have no idea....this Mexican restaurant called La Tolteca was appalling. Canned beans, nasty ass tortillas. I'd rather shit my bowels out eating one of the roach coach burritos from the War Zone.

If this Frontier place better than Sadie's? I LOVE Sadies salsa & chile - the only place I've actually been able to taste the roasted jalapeno peppers.

ooo its kinda hard to say! Frontier is more of a cafeteria mass quantities of goodness style place. Haha I usesd to go a lot because its right across from the university and they used to be open 24 hrs, plus the food is cheap but their tortillas and MOST of their stuff is amaaazing! Sadies is SO good too theyre more of the traditional mexican food, their salsa is the best around I think!

Are they not anymore? If they are, I want to check this place out! Maybe after work...
