Default How does club scheduling work?

I don't know why I thought this, but I thought strippers could come and go into the club when ever they wanted to work...but after reading around, I realize that's not the case.

I work full time already, and was planning on dancing about 2-3 times a week. I figured I could get off work at my regular job at 9 PM, show up at 10 PM to the club and just work however many hours. Or on the 2 days that I have off regular work, I can do day shifts. So is that not possible? Is there only a specific day schedule, and night schedule, and you must be there at the starting time till the ending time? My 2 days off also switch a lot, is that not going to work for the club if they don't get the exact days that I will be coming in?

Also, is it true that if you're not as attractive/good at dancing as some of the other girls, they won't let you work on the weekends/nights? Because it's obvious that the best looking girls are the ones on the weekends at night...

    Thanks!

Most clubs have set shift times but allow you to work as many days as you please. Some have a certain number of days you must work (my club asks that the dancers work at least 3 shifts per week.)

For night shift we can come in any time between 6-9pm, but the cut-off is 9 pm.

It will depend on the club you work. In some regions of the country dancers are required to make schedules, which there is a lot of debate over because legally most of us are independent contractors. If your club requires a schedule it could be just the days you will work, or they could make you work certain hours. Other clubs have no schedule so you just come & leave as you please.

Also, in many clubs the house fee is on a sliding scale, the later you come in the more the club charges you. What often happens in these situations is that the girls who actually know how to make money tend to get lazy & come in really late, so they make a large chunk of money in a small amount of time, but maybe not as much as they would have made had they been into work earlier. Athena & I got bad in Albuquerque for awhile & were rolling into work around 10:30/11/Midnight... we still walked out with decent money but only had a couple of hours to make it in.

You have to decide for yourself how much your time is worth
. The doctor talked me into these migraine pills that are $25/ea because I'd go in really late to work if I had a migraine. I thought $25 was a lot for one pill, but depending on the time of day I could be losing out on $20/hr (early afternoon with no customers) or $500/hr+ (evening with good customers & CR or VIP). If you really need the money you'll get to work as early as you can & work hard. If you are not so worried about the money & sleep/exercise/fun is more important than how much you might make you may go into work later. Now, if you are rolling in late all the time & walking out complaining almost every night about how little you made... you may want to start going into work earlier.

Often the more attractive or the better of a hustler the manager thinks you are the more lenient they will be with you. So sometimes the hot girls/good hustlers only work weekends or nights.

Some clubs also will require all girls to start on day & transfer to night, or work one day shift a week.

Managers do at times limit dancers to day shift. It could be because of the way they look, possibly weight or general attractiveness, or because of their attitude.

    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Like has been said, it varies depending on the club. At mine, there's no schedule and you can come in anytime and have to stay for a minimum of 5 hours (or 4.5 if you're on the floor when the club opens). They generally don't want new girls (less than 5 shifts) to work weekend nights since the girls who have been there longer complain about it. So here, it's not based on attractiveness (my club is fairly picky, so if you're not attractive/are too big/old, you won't get hired), but at some clubs it is. Call around the clubs in your area that you're interested in and see how they schedule their dancers (if at all), and what the shift minimums are. Then, go in to the club to get hired and see if they tell you that you have to start on day shift or not. The good thing about dancing is that you don't have to hand in a 2 weeks notice to quit - you can just never show up.

True in most cases. I wish they would spread out the fuglies and fatties though...they just make me look that much cuter But then you don't wanna scare away the fish either...
