Default Tech help needed! Ports for camming?

Can any of you technically minded sexies help me out?
I got a new ISP and I`m running on a 50 mb connection, the trouble is . . . Its slow as sludge and I can only run one site at a time.

I checked my ports and a lot of them are closed.
Can you tell me which of these need to be opened to push my live stream out there to the net?

Did you contact your ISP we can not help you because everyone uses a different ISP service.

    If blocked entirely:

The issue is likely to be the firewall software or firmware.

Firmware Firewall: Located in your home network router. Some cam software [and it would help if I knew what you were using] can use ports that require a setting be made in your outbound router firewall as it is reading this traffic as potential trojan/virus activity and blocking it.

Consult the maker of your cameras software to find out what software needs to be given "permissions" in your router firmware to solve this problem.

Software Firewall: If this is the problem the solution will be located on the local computer you have the cam and its software set up on. Once again it would help if I knew what kind of cam/software combo you are using. There are settings in the firewall software, be it McAffee, Norton, what-have-you, that can be set to give permissions to the cam software and cease it from being blocked outbound.

    Hope that helped.

    If partially blocked:

The problem is likely to be your settings in your home network router.

Many quality routers have settings that set priorities on outbound and inbound traffic.

It is likely, if you have high bandwidth capability but the traffic for a specific service is slow, that the priority settings on the network router are set to give other traffic priority and down grade, or curtail bandwidth from that which is being negatively effected. In this case your camera.

Consult your instructions [which can be found online for each manufacture if you have lost your manual] to see how to set "TRAFFIC PRIORITIES" for different software on your home router.

BTW, while we are on the subject, is it needed to point out the obvious: That it is just possible that if you are willing to judge the worth of someone simply by what you read on a website about them it might say a whole hell of a lot more about you than it says about the person you are judging?

No problem. I use to do tech and set up support for a cam site [naked]. Got out of it a bit ago. No money in it.
