Default New to Webcamming - Need help from my fellow skrippas

    Hey gorgeouses,

So, I've decided to take the plunge into camming (woohoo?) seeing as my school schedule only allows me to travel and dance once a month. So here's where I'm at now: I applied to be a model on MFC and .com which funnels out to youporn, pornhub, redtube, etc. From browsing the forum, it looks like AW is the way to go - especially through PrincessJenny's direct pay option. Can anyone give me some much needed advice on going forward? I.e., where can I make the most money during the daytime hours, say 9-4 or something like that. Not to intrude on any of you, but how much do you typically make doing this, and through how many sites? I was browsing the MFC girls that we online last night, and it seems like everyone has a different technique - I saw girls that had a "token menu" for everything - like 150 tokens for topless, 400 nude, etc., but then I saw girls doing a full on penetration show in the free chat - and this is the only time that I saw ppl actually tipping. I'd like to start out by not giving away anything too casually, and making them pay for shows, but am curious how this strategy has worked out for you more experienced models. I'd also like to play games while in free chat, just to make things more lively instead of begging for tokens every five minutes. Any advice you guys? Where would I be without my fellow skrippas! The only beautiful things that share my same pain! lol

Let me know - I'm anxiously awaiting your advice!

    Best,

    Graziella

Ive been on AW for a bit (not through PrincessJenny's daily pay, seems like a great service, but a few of us don't use it).

Currently its the most lucrative site for me as the time I have most available is during the mid afternoon, US EST time, which is evening/night in the UK / Western Europe (where the majority of chatters are from)... if that's your available time slot/time slot, my experience is that AW is the most active then.

It took a few weeks for the speed to pick up, I think mostly because I didn't understand the site, needed to improve my ranking by being present on the site, updating pictures, uploading other content, etc... but since investing the time, I'm usually in/out of privates more often than other sites during that time, and if you download ManyCam you can split it across other sites pretty easily.

I am unsure about MFC but AW you can also make passive income with private pics, clips, text chat, voicemails, SMS msgs or schedule "TV shows" for a certain price where a bunch of chatters can sit and watch you --- for me it feels similar to rude.com but with less social networking (a site that didn't work out for me but appears to be successful for some).

I don't use MFC but I know quite a few here do, so you're in good company

Isnt .com a third party/affilate site? Wouldnt it be better to sign up directly with the cam sites themselves. Dont know much about how they operate or see much of the site but im sure others will mention if its good or bad to go through them. Im curious to the advantages of it.

You'll definitely want to feel out which sites work for you on different days, what days do your regs on that site usually visit you.

For example, I work one site. Two nights ago I was averaging $50+ an hour, then the next night it was dead on that site. I know it will be somewhat steady again until Wed, when it will most likely be dead again, and then Thanksgiving will be hit or miss (Holidays are usually HUGE or TERRIBLE).

Just gotta keep track on a weekly basis

Some of the studio sites allow daily/weekly pay without a required minimum, offer bonuses (ehh reality of this can be probably verified by models themselves), payment is sent via faster payment processors (paypal, expedited check), they advertise on your behalf, and/or W2s which is why people seem to sign up with them. Some of these sites pay hourly as well or have agreements with the sites they're recruiting for to do this. It probably makes sense if those things are your priority the downsides probably don't feel burdensome.

I think some people just may not know that they can sign up directly through a site as many studios, affiliates, third party sites are pretty aggressive advertisers. I believe under "jobs" even on this site a few of those studios post ads for webcamming opportunities also. Unfortunately StripperWeb is not a part of everyone's Camming 101 package.

For example, while researching camming I once halfway filled out an application for a model recruiting affiliate - I realized I'd get a higher percentage through the site, and they continue to send emails to this day. Usually its a mass email but occasionally it'll be direct and itll be quasi-hostile or urgent. Its irritating but studios have a pretty clear target group & can devote enough time to convince models to do it, while the mega-sites themselves don't have to.

This is my second-hand knowledge, so others signed up with studios, recruiters, affiliates, etc may have a diff perspective

Signing up for AW - so confusing FML - how many "credits" should a self-respecting girl be charging nowadays? What's the real money proportion to credits?

1 cred = £1 exactly. between 0.99 (lowest) - 1.50 for group, and 1.49 (lowest) - 2.99 for private. Personally Id start off small to attract clients and get some feedback on your profile. + remember to build up pics (movies if possible) as updating pictures places you higher on the rankings and gets you more exposure.

AW - the credits are pounds, if you're in the US the conversion works to your advantage. You may want to check out profiles that will look similar to your own to see what's competitive for your niche/demographic.

That's sort of my staple advice but I charge higher than what's suggested here in other threads on AW or AdultWork. Not my direct advice as I am not working every minute but I have yet to log out of the JustCamit chat platform for AW feeling frustrated.

Before you set credits, you may want to submit your verification info as it takes AW a few days to verify you for webcam performing. You just need an ID and take a picture of you holding a sign with adultwork/the date on it.

I registered directly through the site for the 70% payout but the verification process appears to be somewhat slower on your own than using studios/affiliates/3rd party services. It took 3 days on my end.

There are very helpful threads on AW - rates, registration, etc.

    Good luck

Well you don’t want to cam with because they are an agent for streamate.com, AW and MFC are good choices is a just a matter of putting in the time and see how well you do

Day time hours streamate does really, sticking to a routine is the key in all of this. Right now I am working with streamate, cams, webcamjobs and sometimes rude and webcams but I will be soon dropping webcams just working with the rest.

Since webcamjobs pays by the hour and bi-weekly that helps with settings a routine my goal is to work webcam about 40 to 60 hours a week and hopefully bringing home $2,500 a month. Yes finding your sales technique is what works in all of this.
