    Default Juicing/ Green Shakes?

Hey all- so in connection with my fruits and veggies thread I got some tips on doing green shakes, which made me think of juicing and all that jazz. I'm really interested in giving this a try because Im trying to clean up my diet and get all the good nutrients in that I can! I definitely don't get enough fruits and veggies as it is now. SO. where can I get good info on how to do juicing and green shakes? For people who do this on the regular I'd love to hear how you work them into your diet/ what you do as far as what goes in there etc. I've got blenders but no juicer, is there a good one thats not super spendy? Finally and somewhat unrelated what kinds of supplements do you use to support weight loss and or health goals? Thanks!!

I make spinach smoothies in the blender like this:
    1) crush about 3-4 ice cubes in the blender
    2) add about a handful of spinach, 1 banana, and a bit of water (how much depends on the consistency you like your smoothies)
    3) blend...stop..mix it around with a spoon...blend again until smooth

then drink it up!! I usually drink these in the morning, If you need to you can add a little agave nectar or pure maple syrup or even honey, if you want it to be sweeter....However i think the banana makes it sweet enough!

^^^YES! That is an amazing and easy smoothie. If you're scared of just spinach and banana, add some berries. I until your taste buds get tuned to such pure, whole foods I would also recommend substituting water for orange juice. Also, you can also add supplements to your green smoothies. I loved hemp powder, because it was MAD nutritious and filling. There's not limit to what you can add to your smoothies for taste and nutrition.

Here's my recipe for a fabulous green juice:

5 collard green stalks (or any other leafy green stalk: kale chard)
    4 ribs of celery
a small bit of fresh ginger
    one pear
one apple (I like Fuji and granny smith)
Agave to taste (this is VERY optional and should be added at after juice is extracted.)

Feed all that good stuff into your juicer, after prepping the produce (peeling, cutting into smaller pieces, washing, de-seeding etc.) and you have the sexiest green juice evahhh.

I also highly recommend youtube for related information. I've seen dozens of amazing juice and smoothie recipes there. I'm sorry I dont have any links, but lost all my bookmarks.
