    Default Help!

Hey girls this is my 1st post :-) I've been thinking about stripping for a while now & I've read probably every post on this forum lol...my job is cutting hours & with the holidays coming I really need the extra money, so I figure now is the time to go for it!

I'm above average looking & I have a fairly nice body, just a tiny bit of a gut, but I've seen much worse at the clubs in my area! I'm thinking about going to a few clubs tonight & trying to audition, but I'm really nervous & just have a few questions!

    1. If I ask for a manager & tell them I want to dance, should I expect to audition right away, or be told to come back on another day?

    2. What should I wear? I really don't have anything I think is cute enough to dance in, but I'm on a budget & I don't want to invest a lot of $$$ right now.

    3. Shoes? I have a really cute pair of black strappy stilettos, probably a 4-inch heel. Do I really need to buy a pair of "stripper shoes" just to audition?

    4. Is it cool to drink before I go? I mean I don't want to be anywhere near drunk, but I feel like I'm so much more outgoing & confident with maybe 1 or 2 drinks in me!

    5. I have never even touched a pole before! Needless to say I won't be doing any tricks, so do I just stand up there & dance or what?

Any and all feedback and advice is greatly appreciated!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!

    1. It's pretty fair to expect to audition right away, although some clubs do have amateur nights or set days for hiring new girls. It's always best to call in advance and save yourself the trip.

    2. For going into the club, wear something sexy but respectable to be worn in public, like a nice top with a skirt or jeans. If you own any sexy lingerie, that'll do for your first night, maybe with an itty bitty skirt over top. Or even a skanky clubbing dress will do.

    3. The shoes make a HUGE difference. The platform makes everything a lot more comfortable and bearable by the end of the shift. If you don't have anything else, go with your most comfortable pair of sexy heels. But I urge you to invest in dancer shoes asap.

    4. Depends who you ask. I don't like to drink at the club because I take it as I would any other job, but I also tend to work the day shift which is a lot more relaxed and has less of a party atmosphere. You don't want to be dependent on getting drunk to go to work, but lots of girls have a few drinks at work. Your call.

    5. Don't worry about the pole! I'll walk around it and bend over while using it, but I don't do any tricks. Focus on moving slowly, posing, doing some floorwork, and interacting with the customers instead. If you want to learn pole tricks, go right a head, but it's definitely not a prerequisite for the job.

    Welcome around and good luck!

Don't be nervous, I'm sure you'll do great. The best thing to do is just GO. Jump right in and start dancing. You'll wonder why you waited so long.

seriously, don't worry. we weren't all born as strippers. you'll be nervous your first night. within a few hours you'll feel less nervous. your second night you'll feel even more comfortable. I was able to strut into the club fearlessly within 2 weeks. you'll get better and better everyday.

oh and don't take it personally if a customer asks you "are you new?" it probably just means you look nervous or he's a regular who's never seen you before. it doesn't mean you're doing a bad job.
