    Exclamation Audition Outfit?

So I am soon to have an audition at a club (within the next couple of weeks) and I have that age-old dilemma, "What do I wear??"

I am dabbling on the idea of the classic schoolgirl-esque outfit. (Since I already own one). It would consist of a shortish, white, button-up blouse and a red plaid miniskirt.

I have black stripper-boots too, and a skimpy black bikini with hot pink plastic chains to wear underneath.

What do you think? Is the schoolgirl outfit not right? Should I opt to go buy something better? What would be better?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Either outfit would be great. Pick whichever one you feel most sexy in, is most flattering, and is easiest to take off. Good luck!

    ^this.

Also check what the club dress code is, some places have a no-swim wear rule, or you have to have your arse covered or full gowns blah blah bleh. If they want you to work the some night you'll need an outfit they'll let you work in.

Maybe do a little strip in your mirror in both outfits, see which works better for you.

    Good luck!

Oh no, you misunderstood! The bikini is for UNDER the schoolgirl outfit. And it's not a normal bikini... It's one of those skimpy stripper ones.

My question is about the schoolgirl outfit for on stage. Is it too tacky? Should I find something different?

Sounds like fun. Maybe a smart but tarty business suit - with the bikini underneath?

Ooooh, I would totally wear those as 2 different outfits haha. Bra and g-string under the school girl outfit, and a skimpy skirt on top of the bikini.

Eh, I never really cared for the schoolgirl outfit, because it seems like EVERYONE has one, and I've never seen a girl in one and been blown away.

But you should mainly think about what you'll be most comfortable in. An idea I've always had and never done...wearing jeans on stage. Honestly, watching a girl strip out of a pair of really tight jeans can be sexier than anything.

However, you shouldn't be overly concerned with getting a new wardrobe to audition. You won't know what your style is for awhile. Every girl I know who bought a lot of outfits when she first started TOTALLY wasted her money, because after several months she realized that none of the outfits really flattered her, and she bought them before she really found her niche. You're just auditioning; no one will expect you to have a lot of outfits.

Just wear something that flatters your body, follows the rules at the club (if applicable), and doesn't look cheap.

Well, the school girl look doesn't suit me in the first place; the theacher or the librarian suits me better 'cause of my glasses and my obsession with red lipstick.

I do a school girl routine, people love it & it was one of the first sets I ever did. However, most clubs are looking for girls with more class these days over anything else... so I would veto the school girl outfit & go with a more classic look.

I stopped doing schoolgirl like a year ago. I just think it encourages the guys who want jailbait but dont want to take it far enough to risk jail.

It was cool when I was 19 or 20 but I want a more mature sexier look now and I dont think schoolgirl is it.

I may have one of my skirts in my closet somewhere but unless I can pair it with something like maybe leather or something I doubt Id ever wear it again.

Not always, a lot of men equate it with the sexy college girls as well - & most of them are over 18.

Idk. School girl seems just fine... but a full bikini underneath seems unecessary.

Totally used to work with a girl who wore one of these.

Maybe if you were lying down and had shoes you could just slip off for a second this would work, but I have seen a girl get trapped because she was wearing pants, tried to get them off over her shoes, and couldn't, and it was reeeally awkward! They were "stripper pants" too, made of swimwear material that matched her bikini top, but she just hadn't thought it through...

I think Id have to look in my closet to see how I could pull that off. Ive been going for a much more mature evening wear kind of wardrobe lately. I just think its sexier and all that. LIke Ill do blazers gangster hats with bra and thong with heels. Stuff like that or short cocktail dresses.

There's no need to lie down. You can wear slip on shoes like pumps, & take them off while standing, or bring a chair/ottoman on stage to sit on while you remove the shoes. If your stage has step that can work as well.

I don't do the cheap stripper costume pants, they are just weird to me. I could see taking off the shoes & stripping out of jeans could appeal to some guys. For other pants though it's easier to have them made like professional feature costumes where they either snap or use velcro at the seams.

I just think about the perception that customers have about preferring jailbait. They just dont want the legal hassle afterwords.

Seriously I was sitting at a coffee shop near the high school where I live and at lunch traffic gets jacked up because all the guys driving stare at the 14 and 15 year old girls crossing the street.

Its why I dont do schoolgirl or cheerleader anymore!

Don't worry too much about an outfit - check the club dress code and try to find something similar...don't wear too much (bikini AND skirt AND shirt?) and number one priority - make sure you can take it off!!! I've seen girls audition in dresses that unzip at the side, and they looked SO awkward removing them...dresses that were hot and tight, but that needed so much wiggling and bending to get off that the girl looked like a sausage trying to get out of its casing...you are going to be STRIPPING - so make sure you look good taking your costume off! Lol

The outfit that I got for my first audition, I spent days shopping for, loved it, thought I was SO sexy (black and purple lingerie under a long black dress (gown club) that was help together at the sides with lace strips)...I got the job....and never wore it again. I wore the underwear in "real life" but that dress squatted at the bottom of my dancer closet until I threw it out a few years ago..
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.
