What kind are you getting??? I've had every type- great lengths, clip-ins, strand by strand bonded, micro-links/beads, shrinkies, wefts glued in, and now I have finally found my favorite method--- cornrows with the wefts SEWN in. Cornrows are considered a protective hairstyle used when growing out your hair, and if the person is competent at braiding and sewing- the extensions can actually help grow your hair out- ALL other types of extensions cause damage, i dont care what anyone says- they do. Even clip ins cause damage from repeatedly being put on the same place with metal clips.

I have three tracks in my hair, sewn onto horizontal cornrows. I bought cheap hair this time because since it was my first time getting sew-ins, I didn't want to spend a bunch of money if I wanted it taken out immediately. I got the hair at a beauty shop- it said it was "virgin" remy, but I doubt it because it's tangled now after 3 weeks and not as shiny as it was, and had lighter tones in it which were obviously dyed, not virgin.

Any way.... i spent 100 bucks on the hair, and 20 bucks per track-- so i only spend $160 and it looks awesome and lasts up to 2 months.

Next time I'm going to get bohyme hair. If you go to the website you can look up dealers to find where to buy it, or you can buy it online. Another option if you have darker colored hair is perfectlocks.com--- they have legitimate VIRGIN hair, which is why most of their hair is in dark tones because indian/asian/brazilian women have dark hair-- virgin blonde hair will be several hundred-thousand dollars because generally people in european countries who have blonde hair don't NEEd to sell it.

Sally's does have those cheap clip ins, I think they're about $85, but IMO they're annoying to put in and out and you can't lean your head back on the stage while arching your back which I like to do a lot...

    hope I helped.

great lengths did damage your hair? i had them and now my hair is thinner... i figured it was because i let them grow out too long and some of my hair got tangled. I liked them but i dont want to damage my hair

I had great lengths and they ruined my hair and I only had them 6 weeks. I use clip ins now from glamour extensions. Go on e bay and you can get them cheaper.I love them they belnd with my chunky highlight lowlights and I only wear three pieces I have the 6 inch ones sewn in half for the sides and wear one piece in the back. They honestly look ust like my great lengths and girls and customers always say they love my hair noone knows they are clip ins, unless of course you touch my hair. Lol. But you can feel the bonds of real ones.
