How open are you about your dancing? Are there a lot of people that know? Is there an easy to find paper trail? Many girls are successful at hiding their dancing and moving on to "straight" jobs, or working both at the same time. You just have to be very very careful about who you tell.

I have performed professionally. My background was primarily in ballet, but I also did a lot of lyrical, modern, jazz, etc. I studied tap, but totally despised it. I come from a line of cheerleaders & wanted absolutely nothing to do with cheer-leading. Saying I hated cheer-leading would be an understatement.

Anyhow, as far as performing with professional teams go, I do know a few professional cheer-leaders who have managed to keep it on the down low. I'm not going to say that it is easy though. Keep in mind that any job where you are in the public eye, people will try to pull up any dirt possible on you, & that doesn't refer just to your boss but more the news reporter types... they are always on the look-out for a good story.

There are however a lot of type of dance where stripping wouldn't really be looked down on though, for example background dancers for music artists. If you really want to stay in both industries then you might want to look more into places where the styles incorporate more jazz or hip-hop & are meant more for older teens as well as adults.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.
