I have posted many many other posts and have danced before, so by no means am I a "newbie" (graduated from that status on here awhile ago..) but I felt this was the best place for something of this nature because it does deal with getting back into the industry.
Long story short:
My mom's bitch ass boss cut her paycheck by $2,000 because she isn't going to have anything to do romantically/sexually with him. (she is going to file a lawsuit, for what it's worth) SO now that we are swimming in bills and are barely trying to keep our heads above water, we immediately went into brainstorming ideas. She knew that I have been waiting on my car so that I can start dancing again and I wouldn't have to rely on her or anyone else to take me to and from the club. She despised the idea of me dancing but I explained to her plain as day that it's a phase that I'm going through and I'd like to get it out of my system now. She got it. She knows as well as I do that I am legit. That I do what is expected...not what is "asked". Anyways, we're pow wowing on the phone last night and we get onto the topic of me finding a new second job that'd make a lot of money quickly. *long pause of silence* "so what is the name and location and hours of that club you worked at again? I don't think you ever told me when you were dancing back then." she plain out asks me. It took a minute for it to register. I was like, "HOLY SHIT! AM I IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE?!", so slowly I returned to her, "Gold Cup is off 290 W and Pinemont exit...and it's open 11-2 am monday through saturday...12-2am Sundays. why?" "You worked dayshift didn't you?" "yea, I worked dayshift and I was perfectly content with that. I love dayshift. Not as much of a chum (men) thrown into a tank of sharks (the strippers) dynamic going on. I made a lot of money for someone who is thick. I guess face, tits, and ass are my three saving graces? haha!" "Would it be cool if you could start working weekend dayshift? I'll take you there to see if you can get hired."<-----this was probably my facial expression when I heard this through the phone. So now on Saturday my mother is bringing me to Gold Cup so I can talk to/persuade John the dayshift weekend manager so that he'll hire me back. He was a really nice guy if I do say so myself. He was always really sweet to me.
I have a few things going for me....I'm still in the system, he probably at the very least vaguely remembers me (for good reasons, not bad ones), I used to tip him and I have transportation (thank you mother!). You see, there is no tip out at this club, so I can make a lot more money. House fees are low and there is no tip out. Tip at your discretion.
If he will let me work (I'm laying on a certain sob story really thick that might change his attitude about hiring me), then a HUGE weight will be lifted off.
PLEASE PLEASE pray for this born again newbie to get her job back. PLEASE! I am really not panicked or in fear, I just want to work so bad because not only do I want to be there...I need the money to pay bills!
So HUZZAH to the born again newbie!! HUZZAH!
