Welcome to SW! Don't worry, nervous is normal.
Before I started the thing I was most nervous about was the dancing aspect. I watched a lot of Youtube videos and practiced in the mirror a lot. I also took a pole dancing class, which really isn't necessary but it helped me feel more confident.
I started at an airdance club, but now I'm at a full contact lapdance club. I was SUPER nervous when I made the switch because I'd never given a lapdance before, but my boyfriend helped me practice a little. If he's comfortable with it, maybe your husband could do the same for you.
I found lapdances to be about a million times easier than an airdance, and actually prefer the contact club.

thats a terrific idea! - and i bet my husbands gonna think so too!
I was also thinking when we go to a club this weekend i might by a dance just to see what its like....
There are a ton of clubs in my area (denver) ...I was reading something about amatuer nights. . and i just dont think thats for me. Im going to try to find a club i can just audition alone or whatever...
**so when i do finally audtion - i will be expected to have shoes and an outfit?
im deff gonna have to youtube some stripping videos bc i feel lost :X i dont wanna look dumb (who does??)
even though im nervous im also uber excited
yay $$$
Yes, buying a dance is a great idea! When I went into my current club to check it out and audition, I bought a lapdance. I'd told the girl I was there for a job, so when she was giving me the dance she explained some of the moves and the rules and was over all extremely helpful. I made sure to give her a good tip
Also, you will be expected to have your own outfit and shoes. In my area they sell stripper clothes at the sex stores, but it's really expensive. What I did was I went it in and tried on some shoes so I would know what size I was in that brand, and then I went online and ordered them for about half the price. I've found www.snaz75.com to have the best prices on shoes. They have good prices on outfits too, but you might could find them cheaper on ebay. The only downside to ordering online is you're not sure how things are going to fit.
You said your friend is a dancer, maybe she could let you try on some things so you can get an idea of what styles look good on you?
I haven't done an amateur night or even seen one so I don't know much about that. In fact, at both my clubs I didn't really audition so much as just tell them I wanted to work there, and then I pretty much started right then. There's a couple good threads about the audition process already, so you might wanna try doing a search.
I have a lot of videos favorited on youtube that I watch for dance help. I'm finishing some homework for class right now but I'll post some later when I get home![]()
