As alot of people are having this problem lately I thought I would post what little info I have been able to find about it. This is AW's answer to the black screen:

There are a million different hardware and software combinations out there (both computer and camera based) with many different firewall, antivirus and proxy server products adding to the mix. Combined with what your ISP allows or does not allow, makes troubleshooting and resolving issues of an impossibility.

The system works, it has been heavily tested by ourselves on many different PCs in all sorts of different configurations. As you may know, we are only using a platform provided by a third party. This third party has hundreds of other customers that have been using this product for a very long time.

If you can see everything OK at your end it is more than likely that the person viewing your video is having a problem caused by one or more of the many factors listed above.
They should ensure they have all the latest Windows Media Codecs installed, that can be downloaded from one of these sites:

We have not tested the system with AOL. In most areas of the Internet AOL are a law unto themselves so this might be your first port of call if this applies to you.

EG: In short, the problem doesnt directly lay with you, but by changing codecs to a more popular one you may have less trouble with the black screen.
