    as I said before- my normal work out routine does consist of weight training + cardio, and I do pole work at work. Honestly though I really prefer the long lean toned look- which is NOT achieved through weight training it's achieved through calisthenics/pilates/yoga/ballet type movements.

    I know that for some reason a lot of people nowadays are starting to like the really muscular almost bodybuilder look on women but i don't like it. I am mesomorphic and I guarantee you right now that if someone tested my body composition I would have at or over the healthy amount of muscle to burn sufficient calories... it's only been 2 weeks off my normal routine.

    Your body type would have to eat significantly more than usual and weight train for a third of the day every day to get that.

    You said you basically do all cardio, and it shows. You also lost 1/3 of your ass. Just sayin'. You also need to eat sufficient calories. At this point, you're doing more harm than help.

    You mention calisthenics/ballet and yoga yet you do little of that and it SHOWS; just like in your first few posts where you mentioned JUST doing an hour of cardio. That's Anaerobic endurance and not cardio. Your heart rate needs to be in a target range for a period of time to be considered Cardiovascular exercise.

    Stretching and using your own body weight is calisthenics, Yoga etc. Essentially shaping your muscles.


    To have a ballet body you need to do...... ballet.

    ^i don't do little of pilates/yoga--- i practice yoga every single day-- I don't go to intense heated vinyasa classes i do it on my own- but even that little bit is weight bearing exercise that is building/sculpting muscle,

    anyway-- my point is- I have a lot of muscle- it is just buried under fat. My goal is to do the opposite of what bodybuilders do-- they bulk up a lot with muscle and then cut the fat- I want to cut all the unnecessary fat first and then add the muscle where I want it.

    and i think my ass only looks small because my thighs are still big- once i slim down my thighs my ass will look bigger again.. but honestly i'm sick of being referred to as the girl with the curves or the big ass at the club... I want to keep some curves but I don't want people to be able to call me backhanded compliments like "fuller figured" or "rubenesque". gross.

    Thanks so much for posting, this is EXACTLY the inspiration I need. I put on an extra 10 lbs I'm trying to lose from stress and depression with some stuff that was going on and now I'm seriously wanting to get rid of it. Since I want to lose 10 pounds as well it was nice to see your pics and try and use it as inspiration!!

    ^ have you ever seen a chatarunga?? yoga definitely uses your body weight and tones you up. A single vinyasa ashtanga class will have at least 32 pushup type poses and at least 24 static lunges.

    any way- I know what I'm doing. I'm cutting all the fat THEN adding/toning muscle and gradually increasing my calories after I have more muscle.... my metabolism will not slow down- i'll be fine. I'm only doing this because I KNOW that doing it the other way does not work for my body type. idk.... it just doesn't make any sense how you say that doing cardio will eat away at all my muscle--- a lot of the cardio exercises I choose to do make my legs/ass quite muscular- specifically the stairmill and hiking.

    Any way- we'll see next month.. around the end of january (i still have another 2 weeks til i can be back in my routeine) I'll post another set of pictures. I want to lose another 5 pounds of fat and tone up, bulk my ass back up and slim/tone my arms and make my waist tinier... and I'm going to do it the way I described.

    I did some photoshop .... pic on the right is altered obviously-- that's what I want to change-- cut the fat off the hips, narrow the waist, and get rid of that hanging lower ass cheek that makes the crack look long- secret to a good butt is getting rid of that and making the crack look as short as possible so the ass looks like two ovals leaning against eachother... also slim inner thighs and arms... I'm thinking that's like 5 pounds of fat plus lots of stairmaster/donkey kicks/lunges/squats...

    UGH damn my bones. If i could shave down my hip bones so they weren't so high I would pay money for it. It makes me look square. fuckkkkk.

    anyway... here's the pics.

    i also took a side pic of my ass... which yes... admittedly has gotten flat,.. and photoshopped what i want that to look like too... basically take everything from my tummy/front of legs and move it to the back. I can do it!

    seeing what a small change is necessary to make me look that way is really motivating...

    I finally realized why you look familiar from these pics and your nose job thread, I think we worked together once or twice in Portland if I'm not mistaken. Good to see you're doing well and still looking fabulous.

    lol..... I've been working on building my ass back up and have started tanning again, still hovering around the same weight... maybe gained a couple pounds back but I'm pretty sure it's more muscle I've been hitting the stairmaster hard as soon as I got the okay to resume my normal gym routine after my nosejob.

    since I just got back into my gym routine this last week I'm going to give it two more weeks to see some more change (my legs above my knees are starting to look pretty nice, more definition) and then I'll post more pics I still do want to lose more bodyfat though, my goal is 130 pounds with 18% bodyfat and a 26 inch waist. Right now i'm like 137ish with 21% and a 27 inch waist.

    You really do look awesome in both before and after. In my honest opinion your ass looked way better before, at least to me. But I'm an ass girl, it really depends on what look is your pref.

    Thanks for posting! It is interesting to see what a 10 lb difference is. I am the same height and bone. It's been a great motivator for me. I need to work out.
    However. I think both befores and afters look great. I do see a difference in your waist in the backshot and your ass.
    At this point I'd just focus on maintaining. Just keep eating good and working out.

    I took some pics last night at work (my first night back after my surgery!) and i think I look pretty good now- I've been hitting the stairmaster/doing lots of donkey kick type butt exercises and my ass looks pretty great- the definition between my upper thigh and ass is getting more defined and i'm loving it! In another two weeks with working out and dancing and eating super clean 1500 cals a day I think i'll be at a place to maintain- but I still want to lose some bodyfat off my thighs/hips/upper arms.
