OK I need a new phone and my contract is up so I need a new phone. What does everyone think of Droids or Iphones or Blackberry's?

IPhone all the way!

I'd go with a BlackBerry! : ) I looove iPhones, but their network really sucks. iPhones have less errors/glitches/are less annoying than a Droid can be... But unless you already have AT&T, if you want to get one, you should probably wait until they switch to Verizon in 2011. From my experience, AT&T drops calls and has no signal all the friggin time. Plus, they'll try to trap you with a really long service plan when you get your phone. So until they switch over... BlackBerry all the way.

Droid. I have a Samsung Vibrant, and I swear by my phone. I've never had such perfect service. I used to have a Blackberry, and I hated it. The operating system it uses is painfully slow. And you'd think that a Blackberry would do a lot more than what it actually does. Even just trying to get online was a pain in the ass.
I also vote for android. HTC Android phones on particular. I have the HTC hero right now and will upgrade to the EVO on February.

I'd go with the Droid, simply because its Android.
I'm all about the Android! In a way, Apple is like a form of government, it controls what you are allowed to have access to. Android, by contrast, is more of a "free enterprise" whereby anyone can create an application & put it into the marketplace for use by consumers (free or paid). The Android consumers leave ratings on applications, which I presume is also true of the iPhones, but the difference is that the Android market is driven by what consumers desire rather than what Apple (Windows Mobile as well) approves of.
iPhone is blocking a lot of applications including:
- Political Satire
- Certain political content i.e. http://www.physorg.com/news181515172.html
- Porn
- Applications they feel "congest" their network i.e. http://www.michaelsinsight.com/2009/...e-network.html
- Applications they feel are competitors i.e. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/pos...on_iphone.html
Yet in the past iPhone had other applications like:
http://www.intomobile.com/2010/11/30...the-app-store/
Which apparently got approved by Apple.
Enough said?
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Even the Woz says the Droid is superior... Or maybe he said it will be eventually.

Droid, without a doubt. I have the Motorola Droid and my husband has the Droid 2.0, without a doubt the best phone we've ever had. Never had any problems at all. I really want to upgrade to the Droid X, it's a little bigger than mine with a bit different format but I wants it!

Just two years ago the answer would have been iPhone hands down - however the Android platform for mobile phones has raced forwards in it's development a lot faster than folks thought - and it's now probably the better choice. The Android OS is far more flexible, is faster, and offers more connectivity options and compatibility than Apple does now......
...go gadget - get Android!

Droid. It's a glorious piece of machinery.

Ive had 2 iphones both the best phones ive ever used, and ive used almost every smartphone you can think of, except the droid. I do want a droid now though. At&t wont let you insure the i-phone, and Ive lost em all.
