how do you juggle dancing and your children? do you hire a babysitter or do you have family that helps with that? i'm a single mom just starting out in this business but i'm having a tough time finding help.

Its why I do more camming now than working in a club. I also try to work at clubs where you can get shifts that accomodate your parental needs. Notall clubs do but some do!

Kudos to all the moms that make it work!
I don't have kids but a suggestion that might work well for you is looking into hiring a nanny, especially if you plan on keeping a regular schedule. I worked as a nanny for a little while, and kids like it when they have the same person coming to look after them, routine and all, you probably know that. Anyways, the hours are perfect for other younger people that need a second job, and students that need to work part time but aren't available during the day. Most nannies are paid minimum wage unless they have a lot of experience, or post-secondary qualifications like ECE or something.

Try sittercity.com (or care.com) ~ neither are free but you can find sitters who will work your schedule (overnights, days, etc). Right now I have zero family to rely on or ask to watch my 3 year old overnight so I found someone who would. Her rates are great, she can sleep if she wants to (he doesn't get up at night obviously), raid my fridge whatever ~ and they include background checks and reviews.
It's tough without help but it's definitely possible.
I also cam bc finding someone to watch my little one was quite the challenge... with camming when she goes down for her naps I get to work
Thanks guys!!!! I really appreciate your advice

I found a sitter to work nights via some friends. She watches my daughter from around 7pm til between 10 and noon, so I can get some sleep. I was lucky. My other route was sittercity, but that was more expensive.
It is so hard to find someone you trust that can keep your hours. If a person that was trustworthy and qualified was to open a home daycare that catered to the children of strippers they'd be over-run with business, I think.

Definetly sitter-city. I advertised on craigslist when I was a nanny, too. I'd try craigslist (if you trust it), and then sittercity.

I usually work nights, so when I do work my husband watches my son..
someone already said this but try sittercity.com
