Default Getting other customers to tip?

This might be a stupid question but i'll ask anyway.
I have a fav dancer and will normally tip $20 a song or more when shes on stage but i noticed most people won't tip AT ALL... how do i get her more money from other people, basically helping her out more, should i put a shit ton of $1's down instead of 5's,10's or 20's? and maybe people will see a lot out there and feel obligated to put something down? Thanks for any advice.

PS. I'm sure this is something i shouldn't be worried about but if its possible i can help her a bit more in changing my tipping habits a bit, why not?

It's the DJ's job to encourage customers to tip if they aren't doing so with a dancer who is working the stage. So my opinion is, tip the DJ & ask him to help her out more. Some guys aren't encouraged to tip by seeing other guys tip a lot. The only other thing you could do is keep her so busy with dances that customers have to go tip her on stage to get her attention.

It seems like I'm missing another solution, which I'm sure I'll think of later.

    ^ Agreed.

Some guys will follow your lead and tip her, while others are thinking as long as someone else is tipping her they don't have to. In all reality I could care less what I make one stage (although it's nice, don't get me wrong!!!) as I concentrate on what I make on the floor ~ that's where the majority of most dancers' money comes from anyway.

Just keep tipping her ~ screw the others.

I think that you should let them know that they are cheap scumbags. After all, why should you have to subsidize their viewing of your fav? Let them know - preferably loudly enough that your fav can clearly here you standing up for her - that you don't appreciate their disrespect of her and that her time is valuable. Think of it, you could be a hero.

    OR..

You could worry about your own money and let others worry about their own. Of course, this would be the boring approach and there isn't much suck-up value in it, but there it is.

I tip just about every girl that goes onstage, and I notice that sometimes when either I tip, or a dancer gives the stage tip, guys are more likely to tip as well since a woman is tipping (whether they do it out of guilt or horniness is unclear ).

The only time I usually won't tip a dancer is if she is tied up with a regular at his table all night, and basically not even saying "hi" to any other customers. If she only breaks away from that table long enough to dance basically for HIM onstage, I won't tip. Is your dancer sitting only with you thru your visit? If so she might be viewed by other customers as "taken" and since there is no hope of ever getting her away from you, they won't bother tipping.
    Just a thought.

^^^I always send another dancer to tip the girls, whether I am working as a DJ, or hanging out in another club as a customer.

If I am working I will tell the girl to wait until I get back on the mike so I can talk both of them up at the same time 'Look (you non-tipping morons), ladies tipping ladies, you gotta love that, especially Binky tipping Becky! Get on up there with some tip dollars of your own!' etc.,etc.

It works about half the time. As a customer I see it works a lot too, when I send a girl up it will get the guys up there as well a lot. It looks way, way better for the guys to see that, than me going up there. Some dancers love tipping other dancers and will put on a big show if you give them 15-20 singles. Those are the ones you want to send. Then send another girl to tip them when they are up, it's the polite thing to do.

I am infamous for this, lol. I will walk across a room fro the bar and stare the other guys on the tip rail down while throwing some ones up. Sometimes I straight call them out - "enjoying the FREE show guys?" while tossing up a few ones, something like that. I will tip EVERY girl at least a few dollars if I'm on rail. If I'm across the room or at a table, I'll walk up and tip a few dollars to the girls I like. But if there are guys at the rail not tipping, it doesn't matter who's on stage, I'll make a scene, lol.

+1 to sending girls up to tip, I do that a lot, too.

Rookie - shower her with $10 in ones twice during her set. FAR more effective at getting others to tip. I do this for my girls all the time, works almost every time. Makes the cheap asses on the rail feel guilty, lol.
