    Default Noticibly visible scars..a problem??

I am curious as to whether noticibly visible scars on my upper thighs would prevent someone from hiring me simply because they might give off a bad vibe.. They are the unfortunate remnants of some bad decisions during my teenage years. I've used all of the scar creams and vitamin E things and nothing has made them go away. It is possible that with make-up I could make them fade enough to not be noticible. I don't want to be turned down because of it. I would like some insight on the matter.

Creams and vitamin e takes time and has to be done almost six times a day. I had a thick one on my inner thigh, and I got it almost back to my natural skin color. I used the creams and a electric tooth brush to work into the skin, it helps if you skin is warm like after a bath or steam. It might sound silly but I've seen girls do weirder shit for straight hair.. But I have seen girls use make up to cover scars for the night, just search for "make up for scars" and alot of topics will come up.

Have your tried Dermablend or something of the sort? I use it to cover a small, black tattoo and it works extremely well.

MAybe try thigh high or fishnet stockings to cover them up. And keep wearing them once you are hired so you don't have to deal with the constant customer questions.

I dont think a scar would stop the manager from hiring you. A scar isnt a problem, managers know what we do with our make-up, hair, nails, clothes etc that we can look from A to Z with tricks.

If you're concerned for you, wear stockings, make-up to cover it.. But I dont think you should worry whether they will hire you or not over a scar. Overall its none of their business why that scar is there.

You are not going to get turned down for scars, particularly for stripping where girls often have lots of them between: breast augmentations, c-sections, tummy tucks, brazilian butt lifts, liposuction, tattoo removal etc.

You may want to put some makeup on the scars, but be sure to put on a "final seal" - Ben Nye carries a good one, & it will keep the makeup from rubbing off on customers. Personally I like Physicians Formula, but DermaBlend is very popular too.

If you start dancing & are still concerned about it, check with a doctor who specializes in lasers, as they can often remove scars.

Are you a cutter? Or are they just stretch marks?

Either way, Sally Hansen Airbrush legs can help you : http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CFkQ8wIwAg#

How far up your thighs are they? I used to work with a girl who had a gnarly scar on her thigh, and she always wore stockings, and had a generally classy look, and it covered it up completely. Another girl I work with now has a fairly big scar down her thigh (she was stabbed by a junkie trying to mug her on her way home from work at the club...brief reminder to be super safe!!) and she just puts a bit of makeup on and no one notices a thing!

I also had a lot of scars on my wrists, and it never stopped me being hired (although ironically, they are now covered by tattoos, and that WILL stop me being hired at some clubs...Lol) though customers occasionally asked and it drove me nuts...I started wearing fishnet gloves!
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

They wont stop you from being booked but just be aware that men are douchebags and probably will constantly point them out and ask stupid questions. Some might not even notice them but for some reason men think being in a strip club gives them the right to say things they might not normally say. If that doesnt bother you then you'll be fine.
