I need to know if anyone has any leads on a club that's cool with a girl who isn't thin? I know I should take some time off and kick my own ass into shape but not working is just not an option right now. I've figured out a supplement and diet regimen that in conjunction with dancing should peel the extra ten ponds or so off of me in a couple weeks, but these things cost money. I also need to buy a few new outfits or at least a few new pieces because four years worth of accumulated dance costumes AND all of my lingerie were tossed out by an apartment building that I had moved out of that had offered to store my stuff for a month. Never got my dancebag when I went to pick up my stuff to put it in storage and after weeks of banging my head against a wall trying to get my stuff back, I was casually informed that it was abandoned and thrown away. Assholes!!
I'd appreciate any leads you might have because I'm not going into another audition only to be told that I'm too fat. It's humiliating and it hurts and it's a colossal waste of my time and energy. this time when I call to set up a time I'm just going to tell the person that I'm not skinny and should I even bother? A fat girl's time apparently has no value. seems about right since apparently I have none either.
I'm not looking to book weekend night shifts at some swank joint, Just some days at a dive so I can firm it up, get back into the swing of things and try to make a go of dancing again. The pirates cove actually had me start a shift yesterday then made me go home once they got ahold of some bony chick with no chest and bad skin wearing a half-inch of foundation that looked as if she put it on with a trowel. She should have spackled before she painted because she had pockmarks you could lose a golf ball in.
It's Not as if I was super successful but I enjoyed the work for the most part and it kept me in shape. I really hope this isn't too much to ask.
I'm about to throw in the towel and that's not an option either.
