    Too soon! No Tempest no! Back away from the ink gun, let's not be too hasty and do anything rash. 5 months in the long term is nothing time, I vote just waaaait it out.

    I agree, it's far too soon.

    However, with that said if you really want to do something why not consider other options that are similar but not "matching". Maybe something like two very meaningful words in the same language, you get one word & he gets the other. Or something about where you both came from, he gets a tattoo of the state he was born in, you get a tattoo of the state you were born it. These are things that would give you a memory which you could add onto later, like having some similar design done around both tattoos after a handfasting or wedding.
