    Default Bumper Sticker Rant!

I see cars as a machine that gets me from A-B, hopefully in comfort and safety, and fits my particular needs/recs, and I can afford it.

I do not see it as my personal billboard to express my opinions/political views/religious views, etc.

I don't give a fu&% that you love pure bread cats, don't give a fu&$ your kids went to X camp, or your car climbed X stupid freakin' mountain.

Don't care you wish for world peace, or want you to tell me a joke - via your car - while I'm driving, or that you feel abortion is right or wrong...

I think your letting the entire world know you belong to the NRA pure PERSEC stupidity.

No, that thin blue line sticker will not get you out of a ticket, and unless you are LEO, most LEOs consider you a tool for having one.

One bumper sticker is OK (if that's your thing), covering the rear end of the car with them = get a life and stop trying to use your car as a way to force me to know all your views/likes/dislikes.

Spend more time paying attention to the rules of the road and the fact you are not the only car on the road, less time trying to convince others of your views/likes/opinions via the butt end your (usually) POS rust bucket car.

    You f-in tool...rant off...feel better now...

Am I the only one who feels this way, or will I be flamed by members with 4,850,0273 stickers on cars?

    Did I miss your favorites??!!

A gunsmith I worked with got burned. He did have all the different gun manufacturer stickers on his vehicle. Another driver phoned in that he was pointing a gun at people while driving to work. Denver Judge slammed him though, he has no criminal history. The other driver? Felony DUI conviction and a host of other traffic offenses.

That's a real world example of how some D bag can ruin your entire day. That sucks.

I would never put a Political sticker on my Truck. Not work getting all your windows broken out.

Out here you see very conservative bumper stickers, such as against abortion, NRA or my "favorite" (said with sarcasm) the Confederate flag bumper stickers. I've often seen the "my kid beat up your honor student" which I think are trash and show what kind of loser someone is. I once considered putting a NARAL bumper sticker on my car, but I know one of my neighbors would attack it. I have several bumper stickers from various rock groups but I don't like putting stickers on my car. My parents have two bumper stickers, one about veterans and the other about pet adoption.

LOL, i agree with you all. Saw 2 recently though, that made me laugh out loud:

"fat people are hard to kidnap"

& "Driver carries no cash, he's married"

The only bumper sticker things that don't irk me are the 'baby on board' signs. I don't mind those. It's essentially a big yellow sign that says 'hey fuckface - slow down! There's a kid in here'.
But the rest of them grate me. Feels like people go out of their way to get the most offensive bumper stickers they can because their car protects their amonominty and makes them feel safe. I saw a real gem once 'white power'. Probably owned by some skinny little prick who felt by and tough in his SUV. Why do people think it's alright to be mean and offensive like that?

Sadly, most of them are like that here. That's why I can't wait to get out of here. Almost all my neighbors have stickers like that. I've seen more Confederate Flag stickers on trucks (always trucks) than I did in the south. One of these morons even asked me out (yeah like that will happen). I briefly considered putting a Obama sticker on my car but I like my car and don't want to lose my windows.

I see lots of funny bumper stickers, political stickers, & religious stickers which I agree with... but at the end of the day I would not have one on my car because they:

    1.) De-value the vehicle
2.) Could make me a victim of criminal offense
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.
