    Sad I need some tips..

I'm having a problems with acne.. And I think I found the reason for the problem but can't fix it unless I get the dancing job and move.. I been keeping my skin clean and using a oil free skin cleaner, it helped for abit but when I fully moved into my current home I lost control.. Its the water here.. It makes me sick to my tummy and I think its doing this to my skin.

I wonder if any of you know any tips to help with my skin.. No shower here.. And its starting to get me down.. and hurts..

Do you know what it is about the water?

What about bottled water? Try drinking it & washing areas effected by the acne with it. You may also want to try a few different versions of aspirin masks. If you can't afford that but get to other cities, take a jug with you & fill it up somewhere, then use it to wash your face.

A very simple aspirin mask is simply made from a few tablets of un-coated aspirin, dissolved in just enough enough water to make a paste, & then spread over the effected area, & washed off when it begins to dry out. There's various versions of this including some with salt, olive oil, honey, etc so look around to find one that you like.

    Here's another:

It could be chlorine in the water.
If this is the case, I've read that hot showers/baths are worse than just drinking chlorinated water, because you inhale chlorine in the air from the steam and hot water helps it absorb into your skin.

I had this problem when I moved to my current apartment. My hair was so dry and my skin was breaking out, and it just didn't look good. Even when I didn't have any pimples, it was dull and dry. One day my Mom came to visit me and commented that my water smelled very chlorinated.
I started taking steps to limit my time in the shower and not wash my face with hot water, as well as avoid drinking tap water, and I have seen improvement in my skin.

You said "No shower here", that means you don't have a shower? If so then I'm assuming you just take baths. They make filters you can use on the bath, google "bath balls".
You might could find some cheap on Amazon.

Apple cider vinegar & water on the skin. If it's cystic acne, try Accutane. I feel your pain. Hugs, sweetie.

I've had acne since I was 12 yrs old, and NOTHING worked-not Duo, or prescribed benzoyl peroxide and Differin, not Murad, not o-t-c stuff, not at-home rememdies, not even Proactive. Then my plastic surgeon recommended this stuff called OBAGI-and yeah, my skin is going through hell right now, but it is ACNE FREE. This stuff works for me. But, it came at the hefty price of $500. To me, after a 13 years of breakouts, it's worth it.

I'm getting a kit to test the water to see if its any of those are the problem. I will look into the bath ball filter, it sounds like a great idea.

    This may help.

Also, change your pillowcase a LOT until the water is fixed. Like every other night.

Seconded on change your pillow cases frequently. STAY AWAY from Accutane. Have you seen what that shit's been doing to people? Dangerous. I started getting cystic acne when I was 14 years old and NOTHING frigging worked for me. Proactiv is garbage. Murad is trash. neutrogena sucks. i have been using olay regenerist (just the mild cream cleanse-$ for about a year and I haven't had a single break out. That shit works and I didn't have to spend a gajillion dollars. And I also take a women's multi-vitamin everyday and I think that has helped some.

Also, the water at your house might be hard water. I've noticed that hard water drys my skin and hair out horrendously. Keeping your skin moisturized (but of course not oily) is the key to keeping your skin clear.

According to my dermatologist, some types of acne are not the result of anything environmental or what you eat...and all that really can be effective is accutane. I have had bad acne flare-ups twice in my life, at 27 and 43, and a low dose of accutane is the only effective treatment I have found. Good luck with this and get thee to a dermatologist before you waste any money on over the counter cures.

I was thinking about this today, and thought of some more things that might help.

I don't know if anyone's posted this, but www.acne.org has a lot of information.
Before I realized my water was the culprit I used this site. They have good products, but even if you don't buy anything there is still tons of free info, and a section with reviews of all kinds of products and brands and stuff.

They really push benzoyl peroxide, which did work very well for me but it WILL bleach your clothes. I would try to be careful but I'm kind of a klutz and no matter what I still would get it on my shirts and stuff.
I switched to just the AHA and moisturizer with sun screen and that also helped.

Also, I use unrefined shea butter at night as a moisturizer (the brand I use is Alaffia). I love this stuff. It can be a little expensive but I got mine at Whole Foods, online you can probably find it cheaper. It makes my face look a little greasy when I first put it on, which made me think it would cause me to breakout, but it doesn't and I really think it helps. Sometimes I put some in my hair at night, too.

Here's a website that lists many kinds of cosmetic ingredients and rates them "Comedogenicity" (comedogenic = acne causing) and irritability.
    http://www.zerozits.com/Articles/acnedetect.htm

Everyone's skin is different so your skin might react badly to something with a low score or be fine with something with a high score, but if you're trying to clear your skin up it's a good guide on what ingredients/products to avoid.
