Default When/how should I move my price up on Streamate?

I've been with Streamate for a few months now. I do very well and usually I'm not in free chat for more than 5 minutes. I'm in private about 80% of the time and in free chat around 20% (or less) of the time. When in Premium, often I'll have a full room. I'll have 10 people in my private chat and often they just stay. Some pop in and out real quick but a lot of people will stay and watch. But my rate is $1.99 per minute. I don't see too many people at $1.99 per minute. Most people I notice are a lot more. I see most performers at $3.99-$4.99. Usually new people or people with crappy equipment do $1.99 or less.

I've been told by so many performers that when you move up your rate, the traffic stays the same usually. I've tried to move up from $1.99 to $2.04 a few times and I notice when I move up my rate just a pinch, my business slows down a lot. I'll never get more than one person in premium chat and I'll get maybe a few short privates per hour. Does this happen to anyone else? Could people just not wanna take me private cause they know I raised my price? I know a 5 cent raise isn't much at all. But $1.99 just looks so much cheaper than $2.04. The only slow days I ever had was when I changed my price to $2.04. That is when I change it back to $1.99. Then I'm busy again at that rate.

How did you raise your price and how long did it take you till you went up a few dollars? I have 5 stars and offer phone and audio in private. I have a webcam but want to upgrade to a camcorder. Then I'll wanna at least be $2.99 when I get my camcorder. I do have turbo speed (business) internet and an excellent set up for my studio.

i think you get a lot of traffic when you just start due to the new models page.. i moved my rate up to 2.14 and it seemed a little slower at first but then it picked back up..
a neat thing that some of the girls in the studio i used to work for did was a discount day.. every friday they dropped their rates for "freaky friday"
seems like a cool concept to me but ive never tried it..
from what you said above, and what ive seen from your other posts, it sounds like you could really do a higher rate..
ask your customers! thats what i did..
some (the cheap-o's) will say no leave it leave it! and then youll get guys wholl be like sweetie youre worth more!
there were also a few girls from that studio who had their rates too high and werent making shit.. this one girl (who was not at all cute and also kinda lacking in the personality area) had her rate at 3.99 and was leaving with thirty dollars after a five hour shift.. i make more than that in retail lol..
Good luck! hope that was helpful! :]

guys aren't paying your increased price cuz they know to wait you out and you'll lower your price eventually. Guys may be annoying at times but they aren't stupid.

The name of the game is to work smarter not harder. I have my prices at 3.99 and 4.99 excl. Even if i did half the shows I currently do I'd still make more money than you at your current price. that alone should tell you something, a) guys are still paying the "expensive" prices, and b) shit, this SHOULD be expensive- I'm not wearing out my coochie for burger flipping wages NO WAY

if guys want the unique platform webcam shows offer: personalized porn- they will and should pay for it. If they want "run of the mill porn" they'd be on the free porn sites.

i wanted to add that you are including all the features the site offers. that alone should be reason dudes need to pay a premium..

i've been at 3.99/4.99 my entire camming career. i offered a one time special for a particularly slow day shift and i got more demanding rude guys i could handle. i still get the occasional "dang girl you too expensive," but the cheap bargain hunting guys aren't my target audience anyway. this ain't a damn swap meet lol

i was a 5 star at 2.99 and 3.99 did well for 7 months so december I decide to do a weekend 1.99 promotion for a test and the traffic was good but they bring down my ratings by a half star I was piss, I went up back to 2.99 and the ratings is almost 5 star again. so ya I am scared to go back down I stick with this price.
