To all of those who helped me with all your great advice almost six months ago when I took the plunge, I thought I would write in to give you an update. I work during the day as a real estate broker and was terrified I would run into people I knew and worried about it damaging my credibility as a professional in the real estate world. The advice I was giving was to take a deep breath walk right up to the person I knew smile and say something like "I never thought I'd see you in a place like this" and hope for the best. This has worked really well for so far, though the sword is double edged. I have lost some of my more conservative clients but overall it's helped me gain new business! I have had some comments that were a little unwelcome like asking if I can show homes nude, but it's been pretty easy to smile it off and let them know they can see me in my birthday suite any night I'm working at the club. My worries about running into people were dead on!!! I run into someone I know be from school, work, or elsewhere at least twice a week. At first it was incredibly embarrassing, but I am getting to where I really don't mind. They are there to look, and I am there to dance so why should I be embarrassed? What's really fun are the range of reactions I get some are way more embarrassed than me, and others act as if they've won the lottery lol. Either way it's been a lot of fun, so thanks again for all the encouragement, it helped a ton!
