I believe the median american income of 2010 was around $22/hr rate, many of those average american workers work very hard for their money, a lot harder than giving someone a a body rub.
How is that low?? It's not.
Say someone makes $15 an hour, and then after taxes (yes we normal people pay taxes) That's 5-6 hours of hard labor to relax for one. That seems like a fair trade.
Um I am a massage therapist and that's very low. Where I live/work a regular 60min massage is $100 or more. I would think a body rub would cost much more than that.

My body rubs cost 65$ ....lol Im just saying.... and its a Low/ Mid-range spa...
(whatever..)
I dont know what to think of this.
im assuming the body rub you speak of is adult...so that rate $70 an hour sounds like dog poop.

Kisca, usually the posted rates of $40 for half hour, or $65 for an hour refer only to what the guy pays the "house" for the room upfront. The girl will get a cut of that I believe, but once back in the room, she then tells the dude her price list/menu. It'll be something like another 50 or 60 bucks for a "happy ending" body rub, and higher for other things like bj, full sex, or reverse (massaging the girl).
Hope that helps.

I'm down south and have worked at a massage parlor. The rate was 100 for 30 minute 150 for the hour. As an independent massage girl I charged 150 for 30 minutes and 180 for the hour. Anything lower than what than what the parlor charged was just way too low for me to even work for.

Makes better sense now Bobby.

Bobby is right. That is usually to the house or the agency and then the girl works for 'tips'.
I've been browsing the massages in my area just to get an idea of what its like here and every single girl who posts an ad charges $25-$75 an hour. I could not do that at all. I refuse to do phone sex for less than what would accumulate to at least $100 an hour, no way I could do face to face services for way less.
Maybe it adds up to more with tips, but are those guaranteed? What Bobby explained makes sense though.
I think Bobby is probably right. It sounds kind of like those escorts you see advertising for as low as 50 bucks, but when the guy shows up the charge extra for every little thing they do, lapdance, Bj etc. -50 bucks just gets the guy in the door but it doesn't get him much else.

Right. Here it is the "door fee" and then one would tip the MPA in the room.
I've never worked at a parlor, most places in S.F and L.A, the ones I worked for in the past, were in apartments, it was usually a 60/40 split. On avg. I made 100 an hour. I preferred to work independent, cali rates @ $160-$200 per hour w/ happy ending. I have also done barters and received wonderful gifts from clients back in the day.![]()
