How about seeing a councillor or psychologist? Exercise addiction can be just as bad as bulimia. Your best chance is seeking professional help if you really want to give it up.

I feel exercise is a good thing for anyone, and an eliptical machine is a good low impact cardio, and muscle building workout. I use one in my physiotherapy (broke leg) and like it a lot. Best to situate it so you can see a tv or have a nice view or else it may get boring for you. Great for all the big muscles in your legs and butt.

I have nothing to contribute with regard to the bulimia, but I'm sure the girls can help you there.

When you binge your body still keeps a good percentage of the calories you put in your mouth. That is why most bulimics are a normal weight (some even overweight)

And on top of this you are screwing with your electrolytes and causing some serious inbalances that will keep you from working out with any kind of energy or stamina.

You will always be skinny fat if you choose to be bulimic. You can not get to your top form with the sickness, it's just impossible.

^ Just stay strong with your bulimia. Use the elliptical 30 mins everyday. NO MORE! As I said exercise addiction is just as dangerous. I actually have a friend who went from bulimia to horrible exercise addiction. As for muscle tone though, the elliptical is more of a cardio thing. For gaining muscle you need to do weights or something like squats and lunges and push ups, etc. There are lots of work out thread on here or check out youtube.

I don't understand why anybody would get jealous over a personal trainer...You can do 30 minutes a day very easy with the right diet & get great results.
