    Lightbulb Would you strip if...

    Hey girls!

    So here is my question:
Would you strip if you had your bachelors degree in nursing and worked as an RN?

    - I have always wanted to dance and although I dont graduate for another year and a half. I was wondering would it be weird for me to start dancing and continue to dance even after I graduated from college.

    Thanks for your opinions!

Do you ever feel like your career as a stripper will prevent you from getting a job as a doctor when you graduate? I always had a feeling if someone did a background check on me and saw I had a license to dance they would like automatically deny me a job.

I know a ton of RN's that do strip anyways despite the fact they have their degrees. Do what makes you happy.

Walk into any hospital, and you are guaranteed that some of the doctors there wear leashes, nipple clamps, and get spanked at fetish parties... the x-ray tech is a swinger, the head of the pediatrics department likes to have her cat eat peanut butter off her pussy on Sundays, half the residents work the pole or sell drugs on their days off, and the sweet 60 year old pharmacist is probably a dominatrix on the side. ;-)

EVERYONE has their secrets. Just.... don't flaunt them, and make sure you are doing your JOB (ie. School) well.

My sister is a registered RN, works 4 days a week there and 2 days a week as a dancer. She danced her entire way through college and still got a job at the local hospital. You can definitely do it if that's what you want =D

You don't have to have a permit in all counties, cocoa, like Nashville-Davidson County. The permit DOES show up on a background check. I work in a club that doesn't require permit (PM me for details). Money isn't as good, and it's about an hour drive one way, but from what I've heard the Nashville clubs aren't that great anymore anyway. I've heard of a couple clubs in Alabama that do pretty well and don't require a permit either. Not sure where exactly you live, but that might be an option for you to avoid the permit.

A wise old stripper once told me "there is nothing wrong with being a stripper, as long as you do it for the right reasons".

I have a bachelors and left a decent career to start dancing. So, absolutely. Having an education and business sense makes dancing more profitable. The money is more than double with a significant cut in hours.

I'll venture back out into the professional world sometime this year but, I have absolutely no intention on quitting dancing.

It's an honest job ... and it's paying off my mountains of student loans!!! No shame in that.
I like to party.. So I like my Jesus to party too.

I strip with no worries; despite that I'm also military (reserve), computer technician, and electrician.

I know lots of people that work as doctors, nurses, even teachers that strip or have stripped. You just don't talk about it at the interview!!

If you work somewhere that requires a license, then the best way to find out if it will show up on a background check is to contact whoever does background checks in your state (in the UK, it would be the CRB - criminal records bureau) and ask! If they tell you it will show up, then weigh your options carefully, but if not, then go nuts!!
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

I worry about stripping affecting my future career so ...
I'm not on public record anywhere as a stripper. I protect my identity on SW the best I can (hehe) and I don't work anywhere that requires a license.

iI dunno . . . now that I'm no longer on "the fast track" to "six figures in five years" I would definitely consider stripping. Because, speaking from experience, if a man tells you two months into a one year contract that he orchestrated that he thought you would have a threesome with he and his wife . . . well, knowing what you're hireable for is a good thing. Don't buy into any promises from Fortune 100 companies where you are offered what seems like a legitimate job only to find out later on that you are expected to help a man get back at his cheating wife. You are not responsible for the drama of anyone else. Perhaps I digress, but: if stripping gives you the income to retire by forty, then do it. Nothing against nursing, but a "legitimate" job is no guarantee against untoward advances, so why not quit while you're ahead financially and live the American Dream of early retirement? Because you can bet that Chester the Molester your Director will "retire due to personal reasons" after crossing lines that leave your VP telling you that "if it happens again, contact Law Enforcement." Don't be a doormat; get your $ and get out. (Hope that's halfway coherent without going into detail and naming names; the High Road bites sometimes.)
