Default Expired LAS VEGAS DANCER LICENSE

I got a temporary Dancer permit and they told me to go back to the police station in December.... and I didn't go back. They said that it would have been free when I go back..... what will they charge me now?

What's a temporary dancer permit? I thought they all lasted five years. Mind doesn't expire until 2015.

$45. Go as early as possible. I only waited less than an hour.

I've heard of temporaries. Some girls (I hear - this could be bogus) like them because a temporary will not show up on a background check like our regular Dancer cards. For me, that's not an issue because my husband and I are tattoo artists, but if you eventually want to be a teacher or FBI agent (haha) it could be a problem.

$45? I was late by 2 days and had to pay a $100 late fee. This made my license cost a total of $300!!!
This just happened to me in November of 2010.
^^I don't know where you get the $45 figure.

Excuse me I mixed up sheriffs card and dancer licence. I paid $45 for SC, $200 for the licence.

IIRC, a "dancer permit" is just a business license. You don't have to list yourself as a stripper or exotic dancer - you can say "entertainer" or "performer". All it shows is that you have a business license for whatever you put down. Mine says that I'm an adult entertainer. My roommate's says that she's a "performer".

The other license you need for Vegas is a Sheriff's Card. It's the same card you get for work in a bar or casino. I don't believe it says the name of the club that referred you. All they do is fingerprint you and keep the prints and your photo on record.

I know of a few clubs in town that will let you work without a business license topless, but for big clubs like Sapphire or the Rhino, you'll need one before you even AUDITION. Fully nude clubs only require a Sheriff's Card. Either way, you'll at least need the SC.

none. however, most clubs (not rhino for sure) would give you 10 days from the day you were hired to dance without a licence. youre suppose to get your licence within the 10 days.

Wait are you talking about your Sheriffs Card? I got a temporary one at first too. When I returned to the sheriffs office three months later to get the permanent one all I had to do was show my drivers license and they printed the permanent one for me. It took five minutes, didn't cost anything. easy schmeezy.

edit- lol I didn't notice the date on the original post.

@xxxGothBarbie No clubs will allow you to dance with an expired anything. Every employee could lose their jobs over one dancer not having her licenses. And esp not Rhino. John ripped me a new one one night when I tried to give him attitude about my temporary license card being expired by one day and not being allowed to work. Everything was up to date I just didn't have the right piece of plastic and I still wasn't allowed to work.
