Ive even recorded my own recorded shws especially when i cant find a file.
thats crazy . !!
Thanks for posting this up.
I hope anyone new to caming that wonders about the recording can see and understand that it's so easily to get recorded and re-posted anywhere on the internet. If this is something can't handle, than don't do xxx webcam. The money can be good at times doing webcam but just think twice and do research about the camsites you will be feature on and just know at anytime that you could get recorded.

The only good thing about it is the market is absolutely flooded with webcam vids so its you being dropped in an ocean of other vids. Which should take some of the worries away.

My boyfriend watches a lot of porn, always has, and I watch my fair share as well. We were talking about this a while ago, long before I considered camming, and he made the point that he would never recognize someone from a porn video. He said that his mind usually isn't on identifying any particular girl when he's watching, and it's all about context. See a girl in a video and you might recognize the girl if you see another video with the same set-up, but would you seriously recognize that girl on the street? Probably not. And like Jenny said, there's so much of it out there - just *tons* - and there's always more being added. Plus, I'd wager that a recorded clip from a webcam session isn't going to be as popular as some of the other stuff, since the thrill of camming is the live aspect.

I was shocked at how easy it was to record cam shows - I'm not to technologically minded, but I was so surprised....when I got together with my bf, he had a folder on his computer for recorded cam shows....I was totally appalled! Not at the watching (obviously - hypocritical much?) but that he could have been sharing these and taking money away from the girl...now that hes with me, he doesn't do it any more because he's seen our side of it, but I know that this is pretty much the norm for even vaguely computer literate guys. There are even sites and forums for people to trade videos etc as well as discussing particular cam girls. This is the thing that really concerns me about camming.
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

Hear me ramble about random things:
Its easy to record cam shows, Ive had to have a few of mine removed (I'm pretty vigilant about this since about...half of my income is from content)- strangely even had a customers tell me of tube videos of me (which has only happened twice, but they were videos where my stage name were not used so it wouldve been almost impossible to find it myself).
Its helpful to become familiar with DMCA claims and also how to contact the site you work for (or at least the one where you think you were recorded from) to have it removed. Or use software where it can be watermarked, so you can trace sources. I get its an expectation if you cam, but if you own content or just don't like it and what's being essentially stolen is hosted on US serves, DMCA claims help since so many don't bother sending them. Or sometimes the sites you cam for will have them removed for you, which some people have reported successfully
Most video leechers don't bother using your stage name, but if its something youre concerned about its helpful to set up a google alert of your stage name so you get notices of your name being used on blogs, forums, tube sites, rapidshare, etc.
Its extremely easy to do, there are a lot of free video recording and screen capturing software out there on cnet, etc.

...or any webcam, depending on your personal life and future plans.
Agreed with these 2 points, BUT I have personally been recognized out of context on a few separate occasions, so don't assume that the majority of the audience pays little attention. Granted that I have a rather unique look, but if I've been recognized multiple times, I'm sure others can be too.
This is a most excellent and helpful point. I have recently had to file a DMCA complaint myself. ugh. Thankfully those things are taken seriously and the copycat was forced to change her stuff...
tessarubyxoxo: somehow i ended up on SW's homepage.... then i clicked on "forums." & i was in fucking narnia.
Truewith the new ladies starting webcaming and coming here to ask about the recording and if they can stop it from happening it's good for them to know that it can happen and if they can't handle it re-think about getting into the webcam side or either if they find stolen clips on download sites to try to get it taken down.
