Jamilla Deville made a set of DVDs called The Art of Pole. I haven't seen them, but apparently they are good and she is definitely talented.

I think I'm going to end up buying the entire set of DVDs from Jamilla. She offers a great deal on her site (http://www.artofpole.com/shop.html). 5 DVDs for $99.

    LeighAnn's pole dvds:

You can purchase them here http://www.bespun.com/
Check out her videos here http://www.youtube.com/user/leighannorsi

She's by far one of my favorite pole dancers. I've been to her studio in LA several times and not only is she sexy and smooth but a very sweet down to earth girl!

A class would probably be a good way to start - its a lot of fun, and when you are first starting out, you can get easily discouraged (its harder than it looks!) so a teacher will help you push past that initial "Oh God, I can't even spin" moment.

If you want to get a pole for home to practice on, I highly recommend the X-pole...its expensive, but worth it. Most cheaper poles (usually with some kind of spring tension) end up sliding around, or coming off if you accidentally climb too high and grab the springy part...so dangerous, esp if you are learning.
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

I'm trying to decide whether to buy the Deville DVDs or the Leigh Ann ones. I love how Leigh Ann dances, but her DVD set only contains 3 DVDs and costs a dollar more. The Deville set contains 5 DVDs and costs a dollar less. Hmm...
