Default makes me so so angry

its a long story but less than a year ago i went back to china for 2 weeks with my husband, a friend from my husbands workplace looked after our rabbits, my dad looked after our cats, 2 weeks later the workfriend went out and got a baby rabbit without his wife knowing, she was annoyed.
When my hausbands parents visited we went to the lake district for 2 days and his workmate came round a helped feed and check on both the rabbits and the cats, he was very good with them, a few weeks later he then decided he wants to get a kitten to surprise his wife, he ended up with 2, needless to say again she wasn't pleased as she doesn't want pets and had made it quite clear after getting the rabbit.
A couple of weeks ago they went away and asked us to feed their rabbit for one night, everywhere was frozen over at this time, my husband went round there and came back really angry, he said the rabbit's house was a complete mess and he could hardly believe how bad it was, we went back round together with cleaning supplies and fresh bedding and nothing could have prepared me for what i saw, the rabbit couldn't have been cleaned out for a few months, the only bedding was a tiny bit (of what must have been once)cat litter, it was so full or rabbit pooh and frozen rabbit pee that we didn't realise it had a bowl in there it was covered, the rabbit clearly hadn't been hadled and was untame, it is one of the worst cases of animal cruelty i have seen!!!!! rang the RSPCA and my husband had a real go at them and they seemed really embarassed and said they were looking for a new home for it anyway!
someone apparanty told workfriend they had staffordshire bull terrier puppies for sale and he then decided he wanted one, we tried to talk him out of it and his wife said under no circumstances should he get one, he pays for one any way and I (why oh why) went when he went to pick it up otherwise it would have been stuck in his car for several hours, (just after being sperated from his mum) until he announced his surprise to his wife, the breeders house stank to high heaven, i looked after it and had it peeing on training pads, he took it home and his wife and housemate went mad, she looked after it the next day but obviously has no idea when it comes to dogs(he's 3 weeks old and a fraction of a size it will grow to be), we had treats we wanted to give to the dog and rang workfriend late yesterday beacause his wife wasn't answering the phone, he then tells us the poor pup is in his car and has been all day, we get there and it has no water(no accidednt i'm sure he did that so it wouldn't pee in his car!!)he hadn't been fed and cannot be let out on the street as he hasn't had his injections, his wife refused to look after it because she wanted to go the supermarket in the day(which would only take less than an hour!she doesn't work) so that's why it was in the car for the best part of the day, we took it for a few hours while workfriend finished work and dawdled round to our house to pick it up, apparantly he wondered if we wanted to look after it during the nights because it has been disturbing his sleep for the WHOLE 2 nights they have had it! his wife also said it was annoying for her having to look after it for a WHOLE day!
i couldn't be angrier i have so many commitements i can't look after a puppy because they can't be bothered and the idea that its disturbing their sleep so they want us to look after it during the night even though my husband has to get up earlier for work and i have a professional day job as well as managing property and dancing to get extra money in, being a dog owner is alot of reponsibility, if you can't look after a rabbit why get a dog, people steal stafforshire bull terriers for dog fights too so leaving one uattended in a car is one of the worst things to do. they're now on with getting rid of their cats they've had for a maximum of 6 months, i know they'll get bored of a dog very quickly and if we were to keep looking after it when they are irresponsible then they will want us to take it in when they decide to turf it out! it seems they just get baby animals and when they get bigger they don't want them, know the dog will be destructive when bored, it will pee and pooh all over because they won't housetrain it, it will bark all day and they'll be too thick to work out why!

    stupid stupid people!

Would the RSPCA have a record of the call made about the rabbit? If so, call them again and tell them the situation with the puppy, there is no reason these people should be allowed to have any animals at all. And did you say the puppy was three weeks old? There is no reason that the puppy should be away form it's mom at that age! Let the RSPCA know about the breeder as well.

Some people just should not be pet owners!

Call the RSPCA, tell them of the situation that poor dog is in.

as someone who has two beautiful and happy, spneutered and litter-trained rabbits I am disgusted by how they are normally treated with so little regard. As a fellow-bunny owner I am truly sad that you had to see that. It is even sadder that you had to see it again with the dogs and cats

It is gross to me that people hoard animals like this. If you can't take care of it, don't get it.

Jeezus I hope those two never decide to have kids! Someone needs to beat the crap out of the moron guy who keeps buying pets and the selfish wife who can't even watch a puppy for one day because of a grocery store trip! Idiots.

I know some people like that. I've called all of the associations and animals control on them. They really won't do anything unless they are told that outright abuse is occurring. But best of luck to you. People like that horrify me.
