    Mind Blowing Holy shit! Overwhelmed...

I have a wedding date set for the end of July. Then a honeymoon afterward. Then I'm supposed to be moving.

How much have I saved? $0!! In fact I'm -$3000 when you include my debts that for the most part I'm already in collections for (lolz).

Anyone else in for a CRAZY year that they are totally unprepared for? The funny part is that I KNOW I can pay everything off and save up MORE than enough thanks to the wonders of webcam. I just hope that I have the discipline and determination to do so.

Nothing will make me happier than getting tipsy on my wedding day with my honey & all my friends & family & knowing that I don't have any more debts & I can start my new life fresh

I better start making some money fast! I feel both overwhelmed, yet very motivated...

You CAN do it! Just write out a schedule, but definitely do not over exert yourself. You do not want to burn out before you reach your goals.

yes, you can do it, plus don't think you *have* to spend and spend to have a great time at your wedding. A lot of $ can be saved by doing things yourself or counting on family and/or friends to help out.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm hoping not to spend more than $3K-$4K or so on my wedding. It's going to be fairly simple and I'm sure my family will help out a ton. My parents are rich as hell but very stingy... they haven't given any indication that they're going to help out at all financially... maybe they'll surprise me though, I don't know.

I just made a budget and in order to reach my goals I have to make at least $145 per day.... for the next five months. lol. It actually doesn't sound too bad. There are plenty of days I make more than that, so I'll use whatever 'extra' money I accumulate to give myself days off.

Congratulations, Smurfette! Mr. Smurf is lucky to have you!

Maybe you can create an account on ChipIn and send the link to people (post it on a MFC profile, Facebook profile, etc.) to see if anyone will contribute.

I wasn't sure if my Walmart.com e-gift card idea would work last month, but I got some from my MFC chatters, and I'm lovin this pink Your Zone futon. A wedding is definitely a bigger deal than a futon, and it's a very special occasion in your life. You cam on MFC, right? You should try ChipIn and post the link on your profile.

Congrats! My wedding was pretty low-key. We spent less than £1000 ($1500) on the whole thing and had the most fun day ever - including going out for pizza! It's not about having loads of expensive showy things, it's about sharing your happiness with your loved ones. If I were you I'd set your aim at $200 per day, cos that's still manageable and you won't be off track if you don't quite make it some days or something unexpected comes up. Remember to take care of yourself too! Good luck with saving

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I'm pretty confident I can reach my goal, especially since I just upgraded my internet and DOUBLED my upload speed, w00t! It was pretty crappy before and I'd always get complaints on Streamate about it. Now I'll finally be able to use that stupid HD encoder thing. Hopefully this will put me on the first page and my earnings will skyrocket.

Wow BritishBecky, I can't believe you only spent $1500 on your wedding. Even though we're getting the venue for free (my grandparents house) I still can't imagine spending less than 3K. I will definitely try to cut corners wherever I can, though.

BrownFox, a ChipIn would be a great idea... unfortunately I rarely get on MFC anymore. I should give it another shot sometime though.
