    Default Phoenix/Dallas Clubs

I'm currently working in San Francisco. I work at one of the topless clubs where I was easily hired on the night shift after my audition even though those clubs apparently "don't do that". I'm an experienced dancer. Now that that is out of the way, the cost of living here is ridiculous! I'm paying $2300 a month for a one bedroom apartment and I work three nights a week and make about $1500 averaged over the week.

I'm thinking about moving to Phoenix or Dallas to continue going to school, in part because the area is nice, fun and the cost of living is so much lower. I want to be able to enjoy myself, not stress about rent. That said, is it possible to make between 400-600 a night in either Phoenix or Dallas?

(Sorry, I know you guys hate discussing what you make and that it's different for everyone. Let's just assume I work at a top tier club where I'm a top earning girl as that's always been my experience... and NO extras).

Not sure if you were looking at Scottsdale, Tempe, etc., or specifically Phoenix, but I work in Scottsdale and I would say at this time of year that goal should be easy.

However, summers are just awful all over the city. You really have to have a good stable of regulars during the off season.

    My two hometowns.

As with a stripping job in ANY city: your income relies on your ability to close a sale.
Phoenix has a tourist based economy Jan-March are the bread and butter months.
Dallas does not have a "season" I did better there this past summer than I did during the fall when it was supposed to "pick up"

Can you average 400-600 a night with the assumptions you gave us....any top tier girl at a top tier club should be able to.

That answered my question perfectly! I was concerned that with a reduced cost of living there may be a reduced earning potential, as well. Doesn't sound like that is the case, yay!

I moved to Phoenix from San Fran in 2002. I worked at Boys Toys (now Broadway Showgirls) and Hustler. It was AWESOME having so much money left over because my rent was cut in half. I also went from living in a 2BR apartment to a 4 BR house with a pool.

Gonna be making a move here shortly to the Scottsdale area. Someone told me something about having to have a license when you dance in scottsdale? She said you dont need one in phoenix..
Im thinking of trying a few clubs in tempe too.

^Yeah it's $125 for a license in Scottsdale. The only two clubs in Scottsdale are Skin and Babes -so you better be positive you want to work either of them. I'm sure they'll let you try out first though before you have to get a license.

I never heard that in Phoenix you don't need a license. I think it depends on the club whether or not you need one. However it is a lot cheaper than Scottsdales' -like $25?

I haven't worked in Tempe yet but I hear the license is even more than Scottsdales... (ask Britney to correct me on this) I'd like to know too

Last time I checked (I've been traveling a bit and things may have changed) Christie's Tempe is the only club in town that you don't need a license.

I wrote this article detailing the steps for Phoenix and Scottsdale http://ezinearticles.com/?Become-a-S...ale&id=4407154

Sonny's in Chandler and the clubs in Glendale require a different Maricopa County License. I don't have the details on those.
