Default How should I answer this?

When I'm chatting with customers, for some reason I'm almost always asked "So how are you doing so far tonight?". Should I be telling them that "oh tonights not going so well.." so then they want to help out and buy dances from me? Or should I say "It's going great!", so then they see how confident I am.. But whenever I say that, i feel like they have an excuse to turn me down when I try to sell a dance.. as in "oh you're already doing good tonight, why dont we just sit and talk" Idk how guys think

I get asked this by everyone everyday. I always say "I am doing really good, and how are you?" So it's not answering if I am doing good money wise, it's that I am just in a really good mood. If they say "Oh really, well it looks dead." Just say, "Oh well we just had a rush not to long ago." Or "It's still early."

"meh, I am doing alright" or "so-so" making it seem like a bland forgettable night. I don't like to imply desperation to customers.

I always, always, always remain very positive. Even if I've only got five cents in my purse, and moths fly out when I open it, I always tell customers I am having a GREAT night. It seems to work especially well on nights when it really is terrible. After having five girls bitch about how they haven't made any money, your positive attitude is infectious. I've had numerous customers comment on how refreshing it is to hear something positive, and then they want to actually spend time with me and get dances and SPEND. The last thing customers want is to come to the club and be around the same negativity they experience outside of work. It may seem odd and forced, but TRUST ME, being positive really does pay off, quickly and noticeably.

I usually say "im doing good/amazing/ awesome". If it's really slow and they can see that, sometimes I say "it's slow but the night is young!"

Don't talk about money you don't want them to think about what they spend till you have it all. Say it's great, I heard the funniest joke earlier..then have some stupid joke to crack up over. Then you move in with either a drink or a dance sale, depending on the crowd or the amount of money your gonna take him for.

I think it's rude to ask anyone how much money they're making, so I just act like they asked how I'm feeling instead. If it's early and quiet I say something about how I am in a good mood and excited for the party to start...if it's already busy I just say I'm tipsy and having a lot of fun or something.

    x2!

I always answer with really over top top positive words like fantastic, excellent, awesome, wonderful! Guys really love having a fun, positive party girl - that's why they are there!

If its really slow and they bring that up, then I'll say something like "I wore them all out....and now its your turn!" keeping it positive, sexy and light.

I know some girls who really play the "poor broke me" card, and I know that it can work on the right guy, but in general, I don't like playing the victim around them, I don't like seeming negative, and if you start playing the "poor me" card and its really busy, it makes you look like no one else wants you...men are competitive creatures - if everyone else wants you, they do too. If they feel like no one wants you, why would they take other people's leavings?
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

That is SO true. The best endorsement you can have is a constant stream of sales. It's like a snowball rolling down a hill. The more dances you sell, the more guys want to buy.

If its a customer I've never encountered I'll always say,"I'm doing okay or so far so good." If its a regular I say the same thing. Then when they say,"its dead as hell." I say,"well you could see that before you asked. You know I'm not gonna tell you anything negative. So how are you doing 2nite?"
Thank Goodness I smartened up! The old me is dead and gone.
