Im reading that she is sueing the mall... People are just wow. Its her own fault.
I would greatly love to laugh at her to her face for even considering sueing.

And of course, she's already lawyered-up and is going to sue the mall.
I love how many times they play the video of her fall in this interview:
http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749...y-aid-23909987
I read on MSN that she was arrested for outstanding bail issues after she went on TV. Someone out there in the criminal justice organization recognized her. She has charges for five felony counts including theft of a co-worker's credit card and running up more than $5,000 in fraudulent purchases.
If she had just shut the fuck up about the mall thing, she wouldn't be facing court time and possibly jail.
Dummy!
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade... then find someone whose life gave them vodka, and have a party.

I've been to that mall... I still don't understand how she did it.

Boo Hoo lady....
1. Nobody can even tell who she is by that video...
2.It could happen to anyone.... Uh, no, only goobers like you.
3.LMAO!
I despise people who are constantly texting. They hold up lines, walk into people and apparently fall on their faces in fountains. lol Glad she's facing legal troubles.
"I hear you calling and it's needles and pins. I wanna hurt you just to hear you screaming my name...You're poision. but I don't wanna break these chains.... I wanna love you but I'd better not touch."

I heard she is suing because the security staff are the ones that recorded her and they were laughing at her. I'd be laughing too you dumbass.

I'd be pissed if a security tape of me doing anything got online.
Really? I'd just have to laugh at myself. I did something almost as stupid at Nursing Orientation. K, first off, the only two peeps I knew were the best looking two guys in the program. One was my bestie and trying for it really hard too. Well, I got up to go get our paperwork, with them right behind me, and tripped and damn near fell on my face (it was stadium seating and I missed the step, lol), to which bestie hits other good friend in the arm and says: "I know I'd have paid dearly for it, but I'd have cracked up if she'd 've wiped out." in a biiig loud voice. Ack, like it wasn't embarrassing enough without an announcement about it. If it'd went viral though, I'd have laughed as hard as everyone else.![]()

Even if no one could tell it was me, yes. Security cameras aren't in place for public consumption. Also, our society is becoming more saturated with recording devices and I don't want to have to worry that I could end up on the web without my consent every time I leave my house (I do stupid shit way to often).

I get what you are saying, but I don't think you can really have much of an expectation of privacy while walking down the public corridor of a mall.
Certainly the video shouldn't have been put on the internet, but its doubtful anyone would have known it was her if she hadn't gone on TV trying to get money. Thus there would have been no kind of embarassment or real breach of privacy, even if you had that expectation.
^ But She's ALSO sueing for the fact that there was no rail or anything to grab onto while falling into the fountion.. So I think the video was a good choice.. to prove it was her fault, not the malls.. Shes sueing the mall.
^^Are you guys reeally saying that you think she has a case because she didn't notice a huuuge fountain with a retaining wall, that had to be at least, what, 30X50?!?! Seriously, if you are that mentally delayed then you should have an escort to go out (and I am the mommy of someone who is that way, so I'm not saying that with any snark, my son may very well do the same thing, so he doesn't go places without an escort.) Should all persons with smartphones now have escorts, like the mentally challeneged? Not saying it would be a bad idea. From what I've seen, most of the younger gen with em, NEED escorts.

^ I agree with you, when she was saying she will sue for that.. I was laughing - really lady?!?
She's only sueing cause she wants to find any damn reason to sue for money. While she was being interviewed, she was caught with owing bails money.. what an idiot woman. At least stay away from the press.

This video has been removed because its content violated YouTube's Terms of Service.
LOLOL. Damn I wanna see it again. Need a laugh for the day.

No one was saying that at all??
The point shy1 was making, and to a degree I agreed with, is that security camera footage shouldn't be taken by security officers and put on the internet EVER. Regardless of how hilarious the video is. Ethically its just poor judgement.
What I said in defense was, that you dont really have an expectation of privacy walking down a public area, and thus I dont think posting the video really merits a law suit, even if it was inappropriate.
Interestingly enough I remember a certain thread a few years ago about a certain someone who got really angry when pictures were taken of them in a public setting.![]()
While I agree posting it on the internet was innapropriate, I don't consider it grounds for a lawsuit.
About the thread, are you talking about the moron kid who took a close up pic of my ASS with his cell phone?? Cause yeah, that's exactly the same thing.A close up of my ass that a kid is probably going to go home and jack off too, compared to a grainy vid taken 30ft away or so of a woman walking.
Oh, and I find it interesting that you remembered that thread since it took me a good minute or two to remember what the hell you were blathering about. I'm starting to think your secretly in kindergarten and are only such an asshole to me all the time because you have a crush on me.![]()

On this note - what does everyone think of the possible new legislation that would fine people for walking while texting/eating etc in the same way that you can be fined for these activities while driving? (Under the general heading of "distracted walking") I read an article on the possibility today, and this brought it back to mind... The concept is that people are a danger to themselves and others if they are not paying attention while they walk, so it should be regulated...
Personally, I think that this is bollocks!! We just need a return to basic manners and common sense....otherwise we will become so regulated that manners will seem unnecessary...behaviour will be dictated solely on what is legal or not, as opposed to what is judged appropriate...this mall girl is a perfect example...if she had used some common sense, she would not have been so oblivious as to walk into a damn fountain! And at the same time, if the guards had had basic manners, they would not have posted the video online...agreeing with Jester here...its unethical.
I spend so much time wanting to ask people if they were raised by wolves...sigh!
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

Hear me ramble about random things:
^^I don't agree with that regulation, but I do think it should be made legal to go up and punch anyone walking/holding up a line/driving/etc and texting. People have no manners at all these days. Oh, and I think the laws about texting while driving should be exactly the same as a DUI. It's been proven to be more dangerous than DUI, so why shouldn't the penalty be tougher than DUI? Also, a drunks judgement might be altered enough that he thinks he is under the limit, but someone texting while driving is making a concious decision while sober to put others lives at risk. I'd completely support a law that had everyone stopped for texting while driving going to prison for reckless endangerment. Maybe it would wake up some of these self-centered, egocentric morons.
