    Default Stripper bumps.

I know most strippers get the classic "stripper bump" on your tail bone/lower back area, but because of the way I position myself when I do floor work I've had these bumps on my ankle and foot.
I know it's from when I'm kneeling doing floor work, so I know I can stop them getting worse, but I'm not sure how to get rid of them.

I can tell they're just tissue build up, like you would get from being on your knees too much. But they don't go away...

Anyone have any advice? My poor feet... they use'd to be so pretty.

I would probably say give your ankles a break, switch to ankle/knee/thigh boots and wear two pairs of thickly padded socks. You could potentially ace wrap, or brace your ankles and then wear leg warmers over that portion of your leg which would probably save you in feet sweat.

Ideally, I'd probably go with loosely ace wrapping it, and then getting some extra thick padded socks, cutting off the foot, pulling it on so that it encases your target spot and then put your leg warmers on to hide the bracing.

This way you can give your feet a break and then go and off and on with bracing/not bracing.

I would wear boots more, but they damage my big toe nails if I wear them a lot, also the club that I work at, you can only wear boots on Saturday nights.

Hmm... maybe I'll hunt down some little ankle boots and ask my manager if he can make an exception. Still, I've have a few weeks off due to injury and it didn't go down. I'm thinking maybe I might need to massage them?

It sounds like a corn or a callus... there are different kinds of pads and orthotics that you can use in your shoes to help them heal. If you start doing floorwork differently and take the pressure off your feet and ankles, they'll most likely go back to normal.

Instead of boots, you could try a more sturdy close-toed pair of stripper heels, like these:

There's a girl at my club who wears shoes exactly like the 2nd pair, and banks. She wears legwarmers to hide the thick heel a little bit... I think having the thick heel and the ankle strap would give you more stability and take some pressure off your ankles. If close toed shoes hurt your big toenail, maybe you just need to clip the nail down further?

Lots of dancers have this problem. My feet aren't too bad, but my pinky toes have really big calluses on them... they look a lot more "fat" than they used to. LOL
