    Default Yeast infection under breasts

I can't be the only one who has what I think is an yeast infection under my breasts. It's really red and peeling. When it peels it has a weird smell, almost vinegar. It peels a lot and it's yellow.

I do suffer from psoriasis so I thought that was what it was, but it looks different (psoriasis is a skin disease). Psoriasis doesn't smell and it the skin looks different when it peels.

From what I've found online yeast infection under the breasts is very common for large busted women (I am 36 C/D).

Sweety, when I was breastfeeding I had thrush (yeast) on my nipples! Our doc told us to use gentian violet, but that turned my nips neon purple, lol. Try tea tree oil a few times a day and avoid carbs and sugar for a few weeks. Also, garlic and onion have antifungal properties when consumed in large amounts. You might start taking a garlic pill. Sleep without a bra and always dry thouroughly. When the peeling stops try using an antiperspirant under your breasts to keep them dry.

Thanks for the info. Yeast on the nipples? Ouch. I'm going to try tea oil and avoid carbs and sugar (my addiction). I consume a lot of garlic and onion and I always dry when showering. I haven't been wearing a bra around the house either because of the infection.

Why don't you just slather monistat on it? Or even Tinactin or some of that other foot fungus spray. Its all the same stuff. I am also a 36D but havnt had this problem. But I've had more than enough vag yeast infections to make up for it.

The other thing that you can do is to use talcum powder or baby powder under your boobs to stop irritation from sweating, especially when you are dancing.

Side note - what do you find the best for your psoriasis? I get it too, and I am always looking for other possiblities for treatment!

I am only a 36c now but when I was a 38dd, when I was bigger, I noticed the larger they got the more I sweated. As a result I got a lot of pimples/cysts under my breasts from the sweat and trapped hairs plus friction. I use a deodorant under my breasts and I've noticed it makes a difference. Although every now and then like few years I may still get one. I think keeping dry and clean is the most effective thing. I know some of the girls at work actually use fds or summer's eve under their boobs to stay dry.
Thank Goodness I smartened up! The old me is dead and gone.

I have these creams I got from the doctor. When I get insurance again I am going to check into the shot. Apparently the shot is needed every 3 months or so but clears it completely.

I always take the pill for yeast infections.
It's now available without a prescription here in Canada, you just ask the pharmacist
It's called CanesOral. Nothing I've tried worked as well as this.

Your gyno can give you a prescription for it. Mine has in the past.

Nettle leaf rinse is suppose to be good for psoriasis(hair growth also). I have mild scalp psoriasis so I'm going to try that, see how it works. I already have the tea, capsules, & shampoos with that ingredient in it.

You can get the yeast infection pill for pretty cheap without insurance, but you have to go to dr. I'd just ask for a script of it w refills during your annual exam.

There's a shot? That sounds amazing - do you know the name of it or if it's available in Canada? I would totally do this - sounds awesome! I would much prefer to get a shot every three months than to be smearing creams on twice a day!!!

Might not help, but about 3 years ago I started getting a rash under my chest line. Just red and itchy all the time. I thought it might be from sweat so when I would work out I started putting my Lady Speed Stick over that area. It really improved my skin and cleared everything up. Now whenever I start to get the problem I use the stick again, and it goes away within a day. I'm just saying because it's cheap, not messy and not really noticeable like powders would be, or creams.

I had this when I was pregnant with Child no2 (breasts were bigger).

Get a cream which has the active ingredient "Clotrimazole" in it. Don't know if it has the same name is the US. Here you can buy it in a pharmacy/chemist and even supermarkets.

Try not to wear a bra overnight or around the house

Boil wash your bras until infection all cleared up

Avoid yeast and sugar (they feed the fungus)

Ensure you dry properly after shower.

    Good luck x

    Thrush/Candida/Fungal infections are beasts. eeek.
