Is the skin itchy or irritated? It is lumpy/fluffy/does it have an unusual texture? If it's perfectly smooth, "normal" skin that just isn't pigmented it's highly unlikely to be fungal. Fungal infections usually make your skin irritated and dry or damp, and very often itchy.

Is it possible you have always have unpigmented spots that are only obvious now you are more tanned? It's not at all uncommon.

No irritation.. I've tanned before and never ever didn't tan in these areas.. :/ I always tan in the summer & slack off in the winter and I've never had this problem before.

you may have what's called tinea versicolor - my husband had this same condition. we thought the white spots were just sunspots since we spent a lot of time in the sun this summer but when they didnt go away in the wintertime he went to see a dermatologist and got this diagnosis. it is a fungal infection and it is treated with a medicated body wash - but it takes quite some time for your skin to return to normal. look it up - it's pretty common and easily treated.

Hmm, that's interesting. It's probably something that needs a dr, though personally I wouldn't panic about it if it wasn't irritated or weepy. It doesn't sound like anything easy to self-diagnose.

It seems logical it would be fungal since it's under the breast and on the labia but even tinea versicolor is supposed to make the skin "scaly". It could be vitilgo, a condition where you lose pigmentation in patches usually at first, but I don't think it's overly common.

I'd be curious to find out what it is!

well i think there are different degrees of versicolor but my husbands skin wasn't scaly at all it was smooth and it just seemed like there were some spots that just didnt tan - which is why he didnt see a dermatologist for a while but when they didnt go away we knew it was something else. they are still there, but the dr explained that while the fungus may be dead it would take time for the skin to return to its normal color for the affected areas
