    Default Advanced Yoga Videos

I have been doing p90x and love love love the yoga video. I wanna get more yoga videos and was looking for any recommendations. I looked on Amazon, but reviews are hard to tell, because you don't know what one person's idea of hard/advanced is compared to the next. Most of us on these boards are dancers, and I did ballet for many years and am on my second round of p90, so I am looking for something challenging.

    Any good recommendations?

It's pretty rare to find anything that's a good fit unless you're a notal novice or REALLY advanced... but a lot of places will have a good intermediate class.
Really my suggestion is to just pick up a yoga book or two and create your own routines. That's what myself and nearly all of my friends who enjoy yoga have done... and we've unanimously agreed that it's far superior to trying to find something someone else has created that's a good fit.

Probably not the answer you were looking for... but i just can't recommend any videos I really liked...

I was afraid of that. I just kinda like the mindlessness of following a video and not thinking.

Honestly, if you are making a commitment to a yoga practice, and have done a fair bit and decided that you really love it, I would invest in classes at a good studio. I have had a steady practice for about ten years, and really do not recommend videos because it is hard to tell if you are doing the pose correctly. With beginner yoga, this isn't a big deal, but as you get more advanced, you can seriously damage your body by doing a pose incorrectly (or more commonly, coming out of a pose incorrectly). As you are a dancer, you would probably have more of an awareness of your body, and this would be less of an issue, but I would still be concerned.

Again, not the response you were hoping for, but I think that doing classes until you are confident in carrying on the practice yourself is your best bet. And you don't have to think - the teacher will tell you what to do!
