Reminder checklist before moving to a more upscale club?

I've danced on-and-off for maybe 4, 4-and-a-half years, but never anywhere really fancy. I currently work at the Deja Vu on Bourbon St. in New Orleans and plan to audition at the Rick's Cabaret within 2 weeks.

    So far to prepare I've:

    A) Talked to some of their staff, dancers, and customers to confirm that they are hiring lightly tattooed dancers.

    and

    B) Bought a gown.

Other than making a couple of tanning appointments, should anything else be on my to-do list? Has anyone else recently moved from a mid-of-the-road club to an upscale club?

After dancing for over four years, I don't think there's much you need to worry about in switching clubs (even if it's to somewhere more upscale). The dress code and hiring standards are really all that would be different. I assume you know how to do hair and make up, dance, and hustle, and those are pretty universal tools of the trade that you need in any club, regardless of its classiness.

Some upscale clubs expect you to cover your tattoos.

Accesories. Rhinestone shiny blingy things. Bracelets. Signature necklace. Large or small, dangly or choker a necklace is a must. Something that no matter what you wear otherwise, people can see and be reminded its you. Like oh is that blah blah? She always wears that big rhinestone heart or that large choker or that shiny whatever. Some girls always wear knee socks or big earrings, but something eyecatching that no matter how you change clothes or appearances reminds them who you are.
Thank Goodness I smartened up! The old me is dead and gone.

I reccomend more than one gown.
Shiny, rhinestone jewlery. Like a chocker and dangly earings.
More sex kitten makeup and less loud colors.

Hm, this was over a month ago.

Hope the OP is working happily at the new (to her) club. I would LOVE to work in a gown club one day...So jealous!

    OH thanks!

Looking for a thread like this one; I'm seriously thinking into commuting to DC later this year. There a bunch of upscale clubs I wanna check over there.

Honestly instead of the original plan I just moved to a slightly more expensive not-quite-fancy club. But it's a good fit for me.

& another thing I've noticed is in gown clubs the girls heels don't tend to be as high as bikini clubs. Has anyone else noticed this ?

YES, I have a definitely noticed that gown clubs seem to lean more toward stiletto 3-6" heels vs "stripper" platform heels. I actually happened to called the Penthouse Executive Club in NYC earlier this week to get audition info and the girl who answered told me no heels over 6".

So, I'd better say goodbye to my eight inch babies.
