This has been happening for awhile and it really annoys me. Here in Australia, i understand a lot of people indulge in the lazy beach lifestyle that reflects in relaxed clothing choices of uniforms such as denim shorts and flip flops and dresses. which is fine, each to their own.
i'm a fashion major, and european, so i hit the streets looking stylish but not too flashy or skanky or anything. usually everytime i wear something stylish like today [black and white sass & bide dress with black n white allanah hill jumper, stockings and boots] it draws too much male attention. i was standing at the crossing and a man walks past and whispers 'baby you look fucken hot'. the other time i was walking to the real estate is skinny jeans, ankle boots and a black n white blazer and walking out of mcdonalds these truckies at the drive thru shouted 'yeah work it redhead babe! you soo hot!! *beeps horn* and i was so embarassed. and annoyed.
when im dressed down in leggings and a jumper going to work nothing really happens. but it bothers me that i have to sacrifice my style in order to have a quiet day with no harrassment from males of the public.
does anyone else get that?
