    Default Hair extensions.

    Hey guys!
I posted before about wanting some good
    Clip in hair extensions
20-26 inch. but ended up going to sallys and getting the cheap shit hehe

Well thoughs are dead hehe and im searching again..

I found some good 24-25inch at headkandy.com but they only take paypal
    and mines closed down.
i found some more at hellogorgeoushairextensions.com but they take 1-2 months
to get beings they are hand made.
and foxylocksextensions.com are sold out till march!

Hehe anyone know anyother hair extensions sites??

-Signed , lover of fine weave. lmao

    Just a thought:

How long did the ones from Sally's last you?
Even the cheap ones should last you a good long while if you're taking good care of them; so if you wore through them super fast, make sure you look into how you're supposed to care for whatever extension you do get.

I'm sure you're not stupid... so forgive me if it seems like I'm implying anything negative... I just had a friend who paid a ton for better quality extensions... then burned through 'em just as fast as the cheapies.

All the sites you listed are the ones I'd normally shop at... this may sound strange... but you could check Livejournal... I haven't been on there in a few months... but last I checked... there were a few people who sold extensions who were getting excellent reviews from purchasers.

I know you said they're sold out til march, but foxylocks are the bomb! I've had many different one but what rocks about them is the clips. they're made with silicone (or something like that) so they stay put forever and you don't have to worry about a possibly embarrassing hair moment. No other clips I've had have ever done that. Or just make them yourself. Buy tracks from the weave store and clips and needles from Sally's while you're waiting for the foxylocks.

Hmmmmmm J.D.. how do you operate?
I have some spanish wave, 3 bags, in #4,#27,#20….. I think 20" and the others 16" and 14".
I made a wig out of the tracks, but the wig was too small…so I took it apart.
I spent over $200.00 on the hair so I wanna get some use out of it….. so I was thinking about making my own extensions….(and figuring out later how to blend it with my one tone (dk brown) straight hair. Might be impossible, but I gotta do something with this hair! Its so beautiful, and expensive, and sitting in my closet!

I wear them all the time for the last few years. My favorite are a brand called eXstend. Mainly because they use smaller clips. I have other sets that are gorgeous but I just can't work with the bigger clips, so I always go back to using them. The POP put in pieces are terrible. Human hair is def worth the extra money. My advice in general with the clips-ins is when choosing between two colors go with the slightly darker shade as it will blend better. Try to find a set that has a blend of shades in each weft. I am blonde with highlight which I usually do lighter in the summer and find the darker shade always blends better. Most of the time the clip-ins seem to blend better in hair that is highlighted not one solid color. Hope this helps.
I would also like info on finding those individual little clips with silicone on them if anyone finds them? Maybe I can switch out the larger clips for those and get some use out of my other sets.

There's a big extension depot near my house that has silicone-lined ones, they sell them for like $1.50/per but they're super strong and lined with rubber or silicone, depending which you'd prefer.

I wouldn't put silicone from the hardware store in your hair, what if it pulls... also, extensions for Zumba class? Really?

Spoke to Stella at that Chinese place. Shes very sweet, she said I could send in my own hair. Now that I think about it, she didnt offer a discount for doing so… or maybe that was part of her quoted price. Hm idk but anyways, she is nice and helpful….

I went to a local beauty store (no name, owned indep.) Bought human hair, and sewed clips on them. I doubled the track. They lasted a good 8-9 months, and costed about 80$ (for multi color, I do darker on bottom, and light on top, so it looks like I have low lights). My hair is thin so I dont need much, it was 24in at the time too. I also only made 3 peices, for bottom, middle, and crown level that covered and matched my head size perfectly.

They start falling apart after 8/9 months (due to my sewing). But I suggest to do this way, if not I suggest hellogorgeoushairextensions.com . It does take a long time, but keep on touch with the owner, I kept on bothering her for a week straight since I made the payment but nothing came in a month with no updates, or emails! But they came in good cond, and I only needed 3-4 peices that fit nicely, even though it came eith about 8 I think. Human hair and 18in for 90 bucks w/o shipping, 100 with it.

Have any of you tried hair extensions to change ur hair all together?
My hair is one color…brown almost black…about 18", straight but i can scrunch it.

My 3 bags of 20" spanish wave in three colors 4/27/30 will not work as a wig because it was too small after i made it so i took it apart. so im thinking to sew the tracks to clips and make extensions with it….. I will have to blend it with my hair, which shouldnt be a huge problem. the spanish wave is so full and curly anyways, that my hair wont show too much. but my problem is on top…cant cover the clips….
    any advice?

Make your top clips in #4 (the darkest) and have peek-a-boo highlights underneath? The hair that shows needs to blend the best with your extensions, kinda like

There aren't many good pics on the internet, it sucks to waste good hair, I know. I have some 18" long straight #613 that I cut for clips but haven't used cause I went red again... sigh.
