    Default Camsplitting VS Multiple PCs

I saw one thread on this topic, but I wanted a new one, because I think the old one was prior to HD being so mainstream, so I decided to start a new one to prevent old bias from leaking.

I use two computers when I cam so I can run HD on two camsites at once. My monitors are pretty close together and so are my keyboards, so I don't -THINK- I present the image of being a busy bitch with no time for any customers at all, but I'm not sure.

I'm about to run a test using a cam splitting software to see if I make as much on a single computer splitcamming without HD as I do streaming HD from two sites.

I usually do AW and Streamate, and maintain private on either one.

Anyways, if anyone is able to do similar tests, or has any opinions on double PC vs camsplitting would you mind weighing in!

A lot will depend on how powerful your computers are and how much available upload bandwidth your connection has. If you have one that isn't very powerful you will need to run two probably.

So far I've only found HD with an encoder to be worth it on Streamate.

I usually can (with good results) multicast (is that a word?) in HD selecting my cam splitter on the Encoder. Can't run more than 2 site tho, and only one in HD (well, for your case, AW doesn't support HD anyway). Then, if I get a show in one of the sites I quickly close the free to private session and deselect the splitter on the Encoder. It is kind of a hassle tho. Because of that, I'm gonna get me a new computer (mine is a desktop and it's not convenient anyway) and maybe start running sessions in multiple PC's. Any suggestions on what computer to buy by the way? I'm kinda clueless.

But, back in the days when I didn't know better, I worked in a physical studio (who ripped me off big time by the way, but that's another story) and they used to open 3 rooms to each girl, with 3 cams and 3 computers. It was somewhat complicated. They had just one screen, plugged into a switch that then was distributed to the 3 computers, each with its own cam. I worked one site in free to private, if I hard the bell ringing and knew it wasn't on the first, free chat room, I turned the switch, let's say, to computer number 2, that then would appear on the screen, to see if the member was there... If not, then turn to computer 3. Don't know if that's of any help!

    Hmmmm!

In justcamit I broadcast 800x600 and the guys are always like "my god HD" but when I think on it, I'm not actually sure if they're seeing 800x600! Hmmmm!

I guess I'll have to log in and check lol!

As far as computers go, I really like the toshiba qosmio as my premium expensive desktop replacement laptop... and for standard, I think acus (the old motherboard company) is coming out with some nice laptops too for pretty cheap with a great warranty. I think it's 1 year accidental damage and 2 years hardware standard, or something like that.

I have a true quad and a true dual core (no hyperthreading nonsense) and they are speedy and rammy, so maybe I'll try the one HD one normal concept. Hmmm! Lots to think on

    Hmmm! Thank you both!

Hahah. I'll report back with my findings!
