    Default Newbie almost ready

Hello everyone! I'm a newbie that have been reading quite a bit before posting. Thanks to all the girls for answering all our questions and thanks for posting about what we newbies don't have a clue on.

I believe I'm real close to taking the plunge but still have some reservations. Hopefully whoever reads this can share their experience.

I get it now, that Confidence is the number 1 thing we need to make it in this business. I've struggled with confidence in the past but now that I'm physically in the best shape of my life my confidence has gotten stronger and I'm ready to take it all off! Lol

Our fears is what keeps us away from the final destination but heading them face on, they say cures all I think my biggest fear is somehow running into someone I know and having them catching me with my pants down. Anyone that knows me will tell you I'm a pretty reserved person in public. I'm sure this has happened to some of you... please share.

My other fear is to finally open up and do the damn thing only to find out it wasn't worth it. The number one reason for me to even go this route is for the $$$$. I live at least 1 1/2 hrs from the nearest strip club therefore I haven't quite figured on the logistics and how much it will cost if I decide to spend a couple nights in one of these cities. Driving back home @ 3 AM doesn't sound like a good idea. Like I said, haven't figured out the details yet. I've only visited one club in and feel its probably best if I visit at least a couple more maybe in Tampa this time.

    Any suggestions, I'd appreciate it!!

driving home at 3am won't kill you lol I drive 2 hours to and from work everyday. just put an energy drink in your car to keep you awake on the drive home. I either drink a 0 calorie monster or a 5 hour energy which doesn't actually last 5 hours if you're done with work. you could stay in a cheap 40 dollar motel but unless you're making at least 500 bucks a night, it ain't worth it. try a shift there, see how much you make, and then go from there.

You really have to decide for yourself whether or not the potential for getting caught is worth it to you, bearing in mind how much you can do to minimize that risk. I've been dancing for a few months and have worked in 2 different clubs in the city, one of which is downtown, and the other was more out of the way, and have yet to run into anyone I know. For me, running into a fellow student would probably be the worst, so I avoid the main club that students go to that is right downtown near all the night clubs, and I also avoid the one that's one town over and also gets lots of students.

Otherwise, if someone you know does go into the club, you have to keep in mind that you may not be that recognizable. Club lighting makes a world of difference, as does hair and make up, and the fact that you're half naked most of the time. Since you're a reserved person in public, people you know may not even think to make the connection. If they do, deny deny deny.

Best of luck in whatever you decide!

Thanks xgigi from someone that drives a hell of a lot. I guess you're making pretty decent considering that's 4 hours of driving a day. Price of fuel is ridiculous! lol

Thank you for sharing your experience shanna dior! I could always cross that bridge when I get to it. Good to know that you have yet to run into someone you know. Like with every there is a risk to benefit ratio and its up to decide which weighs more. Once I get all my excuses on the table I will have no choice but to just do it and try to get paid.
