Default Is there ANY yogurt out there that doesn't taste much like yogurt?

I'm finally implementing diet changes and yogurt is something that all articles I read recommend.

I just bought Chobani Greek Yogurt- it is awful. I never liked yogurt at any point in my life. I'm forcing it down now but I'm hoping for a replacement.

I read about a Dannon yogurt that is whipped, and tastes very good, but I haven't come across it. Any suggestions?

If you don't like the taste, you can skip the yogurt and just take acidophilus supplements instead.

Years ago I had a yogurt from a company called Columbo that tasted exactly like chocolate ice cream. Really good, but haven't found it in years.

Greek yogurt is VERY... yogurt-y. Lol
I freeze strawberries and blend them into my yogurt. The taste is FAR superior.

But really... any 'flavored' yogurt will taste more like what it's supposed to taste like than yogurt.

Kefir is similar to yogurt, and has the same or better health benefits (as far as I know). I blend mine with frozen cherries and actually like the taste (I hate yogurt).

Flavored yogurts are so much better. If you hate that cheesy yogurt-ness, Greek style is not the way to go...

I really like Yoplait original, especially key lime pie, peach, and any of the berry flavors. I usually mix them into cereal or granola, and add fruit.

Is Pinkberry and Yoplait, etc as healthy as yogurt. The only reason I'm eating this is for a healthier diet. It was nasty, but if that is what I have to do- I will struggle through it.

    So any yogurt is healthy?

Is it sold in the same place yogurt is?

Good idea, I just got a blender. Do the strawberries have to be frozen? How many for each container of yogurt?

Kefir will be in the dairy section, but tends to be in with the milk rather than the yogurt. It comes in a plastic bottle that looks kind of like what fancy milk comes in too. Most grocery stores have it and all of the healthier ones should.

They don't have to be frozen. I just like the texture that frozen strawberries give. Makes it more like a smoothie.
I do maybe 3 strawberries or 1/2 banana per cup of yogurt.

There really aren't any proven health benefits to yogurt beyond the nutritional factors found in most dairy products (such as calcium and protein). Some yogurt companies have implied in their commercials that eating yogurt will help with gastrointestinal symptoms, but there really isn't any good evidence to support this insinuation. If you don't like yogurt, then don't eat it. Most yogurts have significant amounts of added sugar, which is something that most people can do without. Just make sure that you get enough calcium from other sources, and save your dietary effort for things that matter more (like eating more fruits and vegetables).

I finally tried a fruit flavored type, and it was much more bearable. My little one loves yogurt, so I will just add it to the grocery list as something to snack on opposed to chips and such. Thanks everyone.
