    Default tipping vs. more dances

If I bring $150 to a club where the dances are $30 each, is it better to buy 5 dances and pay the $150, or better to buy 4 dances and then give a $20 tip for a $140 total? At this club there's a set fee that the girls pay per shift, and the club does not take a cut from each dance.

Depending on the area, tips on top of dances aren't expected, although they are always appreciated. 5 dances is better in your favour and gives the dancer more money, but I doubt any girl will complain about such a generous tip on top of 4 dances. That extra $10 also frees up money for a drink, if you're so inclined. It really depends on what sort of mood you're in, but it's your money, so you can spend it however you want - the more the girls get the better.

    Up to you.
Either way her total would be 140 or 150.
If you bring 150 thats extactly for 5 songs.
If she gest 140, thats 4 songs, and 1 20$ tip.

That will depend on you whether you want 4 or 5 songs. It also depend whether you want to look nicer than an average customer, then a tip would be nice, as its a free 20$ almost. Personally, most of the guys dont tip unless they really liked the girl, or its her regular.

Most of the time it's with girls that I like and see often, and will see again in the future. It's just that when I get down to the last $20-$40 that I brought, I'm always thinking whether I should get that last dance to use it up, or whether I should save it as a tip, and how the girl would view either potential action.

It's hard to tell whether they're expecting a tip and whether no tip would be an offensive sign to them that something was wrong (along the lines of not tipping a waitress). Do dancers typically prefer customers that always tip a little, customers that spend all the money they brought but have none left for tipping, or does it not really make a big difference either way?

Ideally, I get all the money in your pocket. It's rare in my area to get tipped on top of dances, so I'd definitely appreciate it, but I wouldn't think any less of you for going for another dance instead of tipping.

Its not a big deal, six of one, half dozen of the other. Whether you give her $140 for 12 minutes or $150 for 15, I don't think there's enough of a difference to really matter. You'd still be a decent customer either way.

Buy five dances. $150 is ten more dollars in her pocket than $140.

It really depends on cut the girl gets of her song. If it's a $30 dance and she keeps $20... I'm sure she'd rather do 4 songs and get a $20 tip. If it's a $30 song and she keeps $25-30... she'd probably rather do the 5th dance.

^^^ OP said club didn't take a cut. And really, we're only talking about a few minutes and $10. Its not like he's weighing stage visits vs private booth visits vs CR visits.

^I covered situations where the dancer gets the full cut of the money.
But I'll edit out my comment addressing the post above mine.

Personally... I'd rather have $20 and a free song to dance for someone else so I made $50.

...just ask her. I've gotten down to my last few bucks and just plain came out with- I've got XX amount left, would you rather do it in dances or have it as a tip? I was totally cool with whatever she wanted to do. It actually surprised me to have her say lets do 15 more min (the club has a 15 min room for 100).

I'm with Tdonuts - ask her. My experience has been similar; I'll tell her I've got so much left to spend, and allow her to determine what I get for it. A smart dancer will give you good value for it - she wants you to come back!

Make her happy - hand her the $150 and walk away.

Make yourself happy - get as many dances as possible for your $150

Sorry, I'm feeling snarky today I suppose. My honest opinion is to go with what you want, don't feel shy about wanting that last dance. It is your money and she most likely will be pleased either way.

Here is my thought, get some dances but also tip, on do it when on stage too. Maybe the tipping thing will catch on and tips make dancers happy, and happy dancers, make a better show, which makes better tipping and the hopefully the cycle begins and every one will be happy. I do not know, but could be worth a try.
